Something afoot - look at the volume for the last 2 days - a sieve comes to mind.

The Peel Hunt Tp of 110p was a reduction from their previous 140p in February and they've been repeating it regularly since then!

Well it was quoted here earlier that Peel Hunt did recently quote 110 target price, but definitely interesting move afoot

The price action is weird to say the least, but then it always has been........always (mostly) marked down in open, large buy trade today (over 1m shares) and the share price dropped about 3%. #confused.com lol

There was a comment on FT Alphaville about the takeover rumour. Basically the timing of Sir Peter Woods buy probably complicates timing of a take over. Not sure how to interpret this but maybe nothing is really up... It could be just a repricing of the stock which hasn’t been trading at comparable price levels to Mony IMHO. I hope there is something up but don’t get your hopes up and don’t invest here only on the back of takeover rumours me thinks

DavRosWould agree, wouldn't add here on the basis of a potential bid, but this is still very good value as a long term hold IMO.DD

Davros everything is dangerous if you are investing with leverage because we all know market is 1) manipulated and 2) exposed to volatility. Investors who invest physical, have longer time frames and are not day trading can take a longer term view and ride the volatility. Fundamentals are fundamentals and sanity eventually reruns no matter how manipulated or volatile a stock is. Happy Ester holiday all!
