The company will be "settled" before the estate is...... long before!

Sad to hear of Peter Blakey's passing and condolences to his family. I guess once his estate is settled his shares representing 10% of the MC may be sold into the market. Perhaps the Board can find a buyer to avoid any market overhang.

Quite. Some of the detractors over the years have suggested that a sale won't happen "because this a lifestyle company for the Peters"........which was always an inaccurate comment and is now patently untrue!

Morning ee on seeing the announcement this morning it did cross my mind a sale could become more likely. You will recall that has been my preference. Certainly activity is to increase in the area this year so we shall see.

I should also note that the death of Peter Blakeley makes a clean sale even more likely, IMO.

Interesting article railing against the environmental perils of onshore drilling in Namibia....http://ens-newswire.com/2021/02/01/paradise-closing-oil-drilling-begins-in-okavango-delta/...my observation is that if drilling were indeed to suggest that there could be an oilfield bigger than Ghawar (unlikely!!) the environmental lobby won't be able to stop development. But in all other circumstances, offshore would be much less problematic!

Time will tell who the mugs were. It remains the case that the Namibian assets are a cheap drilling option that will come into its own as drilling starts in the area.

With Majors planning to drill in offshore Namibia in 2021, I hopeful that we will see a rise in GBP around the times of the forthcoming drills. The dream for me would be one of those drills finding commercial oil, 8p + per share could become a very welcomed possibility. I decided to sell some shares yesterday into the rise, during the last 10 years I have seen this share spike on news and then fall back....the question now is where will this bottom out.....above or below 1p ???

Not too sure whether the peters are still classed as choosers rather than beggars - they have been looking for a farm in for ages - have to assume they failed to secure a partner in the past as the terms on offer were insufficient - not sure that very much has changed except that we are all a lot older - maybe the peters are now moving from a lifestyle. Gbp funded directorship into wishing to capitalise their holdings and accepting a worse farm in deal than they have been holding out f o r ? Needless to say i have held this for so long that it would be a blessed relief to be able to finally cash in - a VERY stale bull is me but im not giving these away for anything much less than 8p and even then i would still want to leave a little behind to take part in the eventual drill results should that ever happen in my lifetime - i am 60 so GBP please hurry up!

5.2p risked NAV. 48p unrisked (just for entertainment value).A fresh licence on the other block would raise those.....Plenty of interest for a farminee....they just need to find one.
