Those *Chariot blocks/prospects for farm out look to be in more or less same water depth (or play fairway) as Exxon seem to be gunning for. *Edit: Brain fade - I meant Global Petroleum blocks! | jimarilo

21/2/2018 13:49 | The Ocean Rig Poseidon drillship, which recently completed a Statoil drilling contract in Tanzania, is en-route to Namibia, where it will remain “ready to drill.” Wonder if this Drillship is for Char ? If so could be drilling ahead of the Tullow well | jimarilo

19/2/2018 17:47 | Stellar are in contact with 300 active buyers. The link below suggests 70% of companies that sign CAs, enter the data room. What ever the number you have to believe it all bodes well. Certainly you would expect Repsol, XON and TLW to be in the mix They claim to have direct access to decision makers across the globe. Their most recent deal, was brokering the Tullow Namibian farm out | jimarilo
19/2/2018 14:46 | Would be quite interesting to know how many companies sign CAs.... | ![]() emptyend

19/2/2018 09:43 | Spectrum discuss the hunt for a proof of trap (an up-dip bypass zone for the deposition of sediment or fault bounded) & the prize at the end, Namibian oil. (April 19, 2017) "The presence of mature oil generative source rock below thick clean quartz rich sands is proven in the basin. All that this basin requires is the proof of a trap – an up-dip bypass zone for the deposition of sediment or fault bounded. The hunt for this last risk element is on and the prize will be spectacular." | jimarilo

15/2/2018 23:28 | Repsol have blocks (Pel 10) back to back with Global, which also have fantastic potential. They will have a better knowledge of the area than most, having drilled the Welwitschia-1A "An updated Competent Person's Report produced in 2011 identified a number of prospects in the Licence, including five targets in the Delta structure which, if oil and gas bearing, are estimated to contain some 9.3 billion barrels of recoverable oil and 14.5 TCF of gas." The well come up dry, but had a catalogue of mishaps and delays from the very start, including a re-spud, as can be read below. This was also the fist outing for the new drillship. However, valuable information will have been gleaned. Could Repsol be a potential partner? | jimarilo
14/2/2018 22:36 | while we await further news here NUOG broke 1.2p resistance with HUGE volume of 66m shares. see this heading to 2p prior to transformational news which the company have stated in recent RNS's. up to 5 updates due anytime. 5p-8p short term target. Also Neal Silverstein @nsilverst2 Following Following @nsilverst2 More So I hear that the CEO of MFDEVCO met with AKER today in London, I wonder what they’ve got in common oh it’s #NUOG go join the dots. So it won’t be GHF drill results, my guess is 1st MF deal 🚀 | ![]() ssrover
09/2/2018 16:15 | Still valued under cash and sitting on 3bn bbls potential Some odd dealing over the couple of days, some of it was me changing accounts Nice to finish blue if we can | jimarilo
07/2/2018 15:35 | Not sure about that.....but the Tullow well will be lower cost than Gemsbok - though it is also targeting smaller amounts of OOIP. Somewhat swings and roundabouts but one would think that if a major was looking for a play in Namibia, 3bn bbls potential would be big enough to attract! | ![]() emptyend
07/2/2018 14:32 | Tullow's 35% seems some what poultry, compared to Global's Gemsbok prospect, not including Lion and Dik-Dik Their deal would have been struck before GBP's significant upgrade of their prospects They must be kicking themselves | jimarilo
07/2/2018 13:47 | Pancontinental said that the Cormorant submarine fan target was highly prospective for oil, with high quality underlying mature oil source rocks and an interpreted high integrity seal overlying the prospect. The water depth at the prospect is moderate at approximately 550 meters, and the total drill depth will be 3,830 meters below sea level. Drilling time to total depth is estimated at 30 days.In the event of success, several other, similar, large volume-potential turbidite prospects are available for drilling within the 3D seismic area covering Cormorant, and further prospective features are mapped on 2D seismic. The Kudu Shale source rock is interpreted to have charged Cormorant with oil of high quality by reference to regional wells. However, Pancontinental added that only drilling would be able to determine if this interpretation is correct. The company added that Cormorant was estimated to contain prospective resources of 124 mmbls of recoverable oil on an un-risked best estimate basis. The cumulative best estimate oil resource potential of the leading four mapped prospects in the block total 915 mmbbls of recoverable oil......Tullow have 35% of this 124mn bbls recoverable "high impact" prospect..... | ![]() emptyend

07/2/2018 12:06 | Very much looking forward to this cork popping. It's gonna be one of the years biggest imho of course | splatted
07/2/2018 11:18 | "Global Petroleum Limited ("Global") is offering a select group of companies the opportunity" Yes Tullow will be one of the select group of companies, Exxon another. Companies with deep pockets,to move this forward Tullow very up beat this morning and sound like could even have follow up wells penciled in The potential upside from here below cash, could easily be in the double figures Global must be the cheapest ticket in town to a ringside seat to a potential 3bn bbl block in Namibia Interesting times | jimarilo
07/2/2018 10:38 | ......I think the point about the outlook here is that all the companies that might be interested in drilling will be all over the dataroom before Tullow spud Cormorant in H2. The decision will then be whether the Cormorant well has a bearing on the technical prospectivity of Gemsbok - and I've yet to look at the details to assess that. But in the event that Cormorant is successful, that must surely help everything in the basin.....and with GBP potentially sitting on 85% of 3bn bbls, it should surely be possible to do something! We ought to be expecting a substantial rise from here over the next 6-9 months, given a cap of only £4mn and a chunk of cash cover..... | ![]() emptyend
07/2/2018 10:26 | the paint taking time to dry after all said n done, this needs to rise soon from here....... | the_boy_plunger
07/2/2018 10:07 | ....and also worth noting that Cormorant is in block 2012A, which is a block and a bit directly inboard from the 1bn+ bbl Gemsbok prospect (and the other 2bn bbl leads on GBP's blocks):http://www.g | ![]() emptyend
07/2/2018 09:42 | Worth noting from Tullow's results:NamibiaTullo | ![]() emptyend |
