Interesting to see that there seems to have been a slew of recent news about developments in the Brazilian offshore analogue basins........Petrobras talking about $60bn spend over the next 5 years:http://markets.businessinsider.com/news/interestrates/PETROBRAS-Company-To-Invest-US-60-Billion-In-Pre-salt-By-2022-1011779308......by comparison, the Namibian acreage is virtually undrilled. Who wants to get in on the ground floor, now that better seismic data is available? What might that be worth? There will certainly be no shortage of big companies through the GBP dataroom if the CPR points to Gemsbok at 1bn+.......

I think the central point here is that we already know that the new 2D has increased confidence in Gemsbok. We also know that Gemsbok will be many hundreds of millions of barrels....maybe up to 1.5-2.0bn? If it came in, it would be a basin-opener, facing the American market. What is that drilling option worth?

The mkt has totally forgotten about GBP Namibian asset, they are just valuing the cash in the bank, in june they had $7.8m in the bank.

The license appears to be in a prime location where the "majors" are taking an interest, especially tullow.

In 2012 they said license 29 is capable of housing multi-billion barrels reservoir, after a long time this year they finally decided to acquire more 2d data and now they are saying the chance of success(cos) has "significantly increased" to "find major oil discovery". These are some statements...

The cpr which is out any day will prove this..

2012 article, then the company went into hibernation and they have finally woken up with imminent cpr showing large potential resource.

hxxp:// www. proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/39465/global-petroleum-under-the-radar-as-offshore-namibia-play-47116.html

While Namibia is at an early stage of exploration, the recent completion of a high-resolution 2D seismic survey confirmed the existence of two mega-structures in licence 29 capable of housing multi-billion barrel reservoirs.

Mkt cap at the time was 20m, now its 5m which just values the cash,

Based on probabilistic estimates, the Resource Report confirms a best estimate of gross unrisked prospective oil resources for Cooper, Guy and Sharon Blocks in Namibia of 4,546 Million Barrels of Oil (“MMBBls”), and net unrisked prospective oil resources to Eco Atlantic of 2,362 MMBBls.

That was eco, if gbp can get similar resource estimates and accelerate their farm in then things can get interesting, maybe a new board takes over.

Management have alot to prove they have done f all.

The majors are really getting interested in this region, eco have managed to get farm in with likes of tullow with full carry, pancontimental also managed to get farm in..

Good thing about eco they accelerated the exploration last year, maybe gbp should do the same.

what carrot can the company offer?

Directors who bleed the company dry in exchange for very little. Some carrot!

As the company has previously been unable to find a partner to do the 3d survey then what carrot can the company offer this time to get a partner on board?

Confirmation Tullow drilling close by - announced today...
.
Tullow plans to drill the Cormorant prospect on the PEL37 licence in Namibia in the second half of 2018 and preparations for drilling are under way. The prospect will target light oil and has a number of similarly-sized follow-up prospects in close proximity. Also in Namibia, Tullow completed a farm-down of the PEL30 licence to ONGC Videsh of 15% in November 2017.

A good post from Lse B.B.Today 18:43 Price: 2.70Oilspec 119 postsAGR TRACS timeline for CPRAGR TRACS Did a CPR for 3i energy Started in September 15th competed on 3rd November . Which took 6 weeks 3 days . AGR TRACS started CPR for GBP on 18th October and it has been 11 weeks and 1 day and no CPR yet ? Why so long. Two things come to mind big resource estimate which is taking sometime or in talk with a partner regarding farmout I feel one of the two . But what ever it is it's over due and it's imminent for CPR news. MMs will try trick and shake your shares like today last hour crazy spread bid 2.50p ask 2.90p and dropping it but there were no sellers at 2.50p no one fell for it . They will shake and drop and widen the spread to get your golden tickets don't fall for it ,remember why you invested . It took 6 weeks to complete i3 energy CPR . GBP 11 weeks have passed since CPR started its due imminently.

Interesting day. Some of the bigger trades being near the highs......but still less than £200k by value traded in total. Trading today 6.23mn shares out of perhaps 110mn in the free float, so limited opportunity to build a significant position ahead of news.
