09/1/2017 13:41 | Going well here. I took a near 20% profit at 25p I've set up a SMEF thread. GLIF hold SMEF. It would be interesting to hear about the relative merits of both. Some posts before were suggesting SMEF is lower risk but with less upside than GLIF. I'm just wondering how low risk SMEF is. Most of their investments are secured which is good. Just wondering if I should buy more SMEF or even buy back into GLIF. | orinocor
09/1/2017 11:26 | Got to hang in GLIF owe me 40p and I have 66,000 shares. | garycook
09/1/2017 11:14 | This shows a remarkable return since mid-November lows. I assume further corporate action is expected before long. Stock situation must be very tight with a premium being paid for many buys and some sells going through around mid-price. The buyer is showing persistence - worth hanging in if you're a holder (imho). | boadicea

04/1/2017 12:20 | GLIF seems to have formed a base and the recent improvement is beginning to look like a trend rather than just a bounce. It will take a couple of months and the next figures to confirm sustained progress. | boadicea
21/12/2016 16:58 | Fans of "old style" GLIF may want to consider BGLF which is on a 10% yield but for better or worse is Euro denominated. Yet to do any real research though ...... | future financier
19/12/2016 17:14 | Thanks speedsgh. Thought it was an odd number. | bluemango
19/12/2016 15:31 | blue - Unfortunately these are only scrip dividend shares. One very small crumb of comfort is, I suppose, that he has taken the dividend in new shares, rather than taken the cash. "The Company was today notified of the following share dealings executed today by persons discharging managerial responsibility AS A RESULT OF THE SCRIP DIVIDEND ISSUE on 15 December 2016..." | speedsgh
