next move uk interest rates down probably this month markets priced in 80% chance
that will again strengthen dollar - glencore direct benefit

pound has stabilised a bit but cannot see outside a range 124-134 until after September

If Glencore sells gold mine for 2 billion as suggested - debt reduction target for this year met

I do have some shares and options -- but showing losses on shorts taken out around 150p :-)I always thought 125-130p would be strong support - unfortunately Brexit stopped me from taking out large bullish positions.Good luck - let's have retrace to 150p soon.......

China’s state-backed Silk Road Fund is considering a joint bid with China National Gold Group for Glencore’s Vasilkovskoye gold mine in Kazakhstan, Bloomberg reports.

The joint bid may compete with Chinese gold producers Shandong Gold Mining and Zijin Mining (OTCPK:ZIJMF) for the mine, which could fetch $2B, according to previous reports.

The Vasilkovskoye mine produced ~380K oz. of gold last year.

What a big de-gearing deal............
