Like I said nothing goes up straight line but in waves, up from 1202p to 1268p, may go back to 1225p before next wave up.

Nothing goes up in a straight line, normally in waves, we have had two good days, I bet down tomorrow, but staying above 1250p would be a positive outcome.

It's goes into auction at 4.30pm for 5 minutes, trades get sorted.Then you have the closing price.

The trades in the 5 minutes after the close are usually the closing auction. They are not ordinary trades.

My HL account quite often does that at end of day. Usually GSK or VOD inflated. The % increase is correct honest the share price inflated.Never bothered to find out why - usually adjusts back within 30 mins.

So I’m looking at my fund account and notice my HL GSK holding £10K more than I thought. I check desktop and app and price @£13.52. So it was momentarily at close of market before it readjusted 🤬
As I was on the phone at the time to HL they said it could be grey trading when a big trade is made at close of market which causes a blip. Is that correct?
I’m also thinking how big a trade that would be to move price that far up?

The references over the weekend to a surge in flu cases next winter due to less immunity within the population didn't really explain the potential problem.

So far as I am aware (sure a medic on this board will confirm or contradict), flu vaccinations are reformulated each year around this time for the forthcoming winter. The formulation and make up of each year's vaccination is based partly on an analysis of the previous year's winter prevalent strain(s). As there has been so little flu around this winter (20/21) due to social distancing etc, the scientists will be working "blind", so may well be forced to "guess" what the best formulation will be for winter 21/22.

Should end the day blue, after being in the top 3 positive Bloomberg Sentiment Algorithm positive news this morning. Bears will be short and caught, especially the ones shorting at 1222p earlier.

unastubb, worth a read to do the content justice. The article covers what the top ten European value funds have been buying lately and commonality across their top 10 holdings. 6 of the 10 have GSK today, some have recently bought GSK into their top ten, and one, apparently unusual, made it their number two top holding, new entrants normally come in at 10,9 or 8. I didn't expect to read about GSK when I launched the article and was surprised to find the article being dominated by coverage of GSK. the reason for posting on this thread.

Strange on the Bloomberg U.K. sentiment Algorithm, GSK top 3 shares normally go ahead when that happens, lol not good old GSK.
