10/10/2013 13:38 | eacn's explanation looks the most reasonable. If it was tipped, somebody would be posting the link. | augustusgloop
10/10/2013 13:34 | Simon Templar, you may well be right, but an alternative explanation is that someone is aware that a buy back is about to begin. | eacn
10/10/2013 13:29 | eacn If the company was buying back stock the normal process is to advise the market within 24 hours. Its been tipped somewhere in my opinion. | simon templar qc
10/10/2013 13:25 | What are all those red arrows, Sir Rat? They look like commie boats trying to escape from a trap. | zangdook
10/10/2013 13:23 | Resolution 6 at the AGM authorised the company to buy back up to 3,783,462 shares, that is 10% of the company's issued share capital through the market. I wonder whether the movement in the share price is as a result of such market purchases. We have had no RNS to that effect but if executed as a block order the company and the nomad may take the view that the purchases don't need to be announced until the order is complete. That would be unusual but not unheard of. At an average price of 10p the company could easily afford to buy 3.78m shares from existing cash resources. | eacn
10/10/2013 12:46 | There's life in the old dog yet, Fillipe ;-) | sir rational
10/10/2013 12:40 | Have watched this share on and off for a while now but just don't like the accounting. Neither do I like where its situated. Something tells me things aren't right. A substantial discount to net asset value on the assumption the company will eventually get the cash in however. There lies the problem. I reckon its been tipped somewhere recently hence the large spike and buying recently. Good luck to those who have benefited recently however time will tell who is right. | simon templar qc
10/10/2013 12:16 | Yup, longer term value definitely here at GNG but the share price might have got just a bit of itself for the moment. f | fillipe
10/10/2013 12:12 | Can't blame folks for cashing in, not really. Quite a good sign though that they think there's some value buried here even if it was very puntish. | sir rational
10/10/2013 11:54 | GNG been a fast trebler for some fortunate folks, but on a spike. | fillipe
10/10/2013 10:56 | I agree with Gelp, can we please keep it relevant? I only come here to read about Geong news/opinions, nothing else. I hold some shares, and a bit upset I didn't add last month. However, not sure how long the uphill ride will last. Their website looks a bit more professional now too. | bobosh13
10/10/2013 10:42 | I might start believing it once it goes properly higher. | sir rational
10/10/2013 10:11 | Culprits ignored Riv. These are not chat lines. RULE: Only write about something relevant to the share. | gelp
10/10/2013 10:08 | The trolls augustdope and stegrigo are losers and i'm now up 150% since March | sefton1
10/10/2013 10:03 | GNG not one to be out of in the run-up to their next trading update, due November and that's not far away. Btw - a hugely comprehensive website at www.geong.com | fillipe
10/10/2013 08:38 | Not a bad start. | rivaldo
09/10/2013 19:38 | Bit early to go on the sauce but I might join you in a few minutes ;-) | sir rational
09/10/2013 19:35 | Happy day tomorrow charging unadulterated to 15p+ | smraynot
09/10/2013 16:22 | More rear end wind. No proof augustdope or elbin said sell at 38p. Doubled my money here | sefton1
09/10/2013 16:19 | This last 10 mins can sometimes bring an interesting trade or 3 ;-) | sir rational
09/10/2013 15:31 | Remember what I said please SR et al.... | rivaldo
09/10/2013 14:30 | Yes, Elban - but you can't go round saying unsubstantiated things like that. | sir rational |
