Scov - done that calc too, & reckoned 9.5p total had to come off NGG. On the other hand, they may have hedged their position, & am trying to find out.

Also, wee bounce from EGS. Am short 500 NGG at 4.52, stop 4.54.

Major shareholders for Energis, not sure how big an impact this will have on a £6,700 mill company though, unless it is just on sentiment. NGG did drop slightly on the news.I make it their total holding is about 37%

Major Shareholders:
1739.24m 10p Ords - NGG Telecoms Ltd 25.62%, National Grid Four Ltd 7.15%, Morley Fund Mgmt Ltd 4.81%, NGG Telecoms Inv Ltd 4.25%, Other Dirs 0.15%.

EGS bouncing strongly, could recover a lot of what it has lost IMO. 20% or so anyway.

Perhaps we should start a misfortune thread...but here's one for which should raise a smile...Went short mys late yesterday at 329.75, realised it was a mistake and put it into auction to cover. Unfortunately, I submitted another SELL order instead of a buy and got filled at 330.25! Covered this morning at 345.00 losing 1.7K+. Hope I learnt a lesson somewhere along the line :)

BinuH - your loss puts my latest (tiny) loss in perspective. One of my longer held positions - I got into Rage Software (RGE) at 12.5p before Xmas hoping that David Beckham Soccer for the Playstation would be a hit.

Just sold at 6.85p - price going nowhere. 10K of those in my "risky pennies" portfolio makes nearly 600 pounds lost after commission.

Anyone else admit to being burnt on RGE?

CC. motoring up now 145-148 with an MM buy at 147. Look to be caught out, mentioned these a couple of days ago at 140. Hope some of you got in, I'm looking for 155p short-term. Fundamentals are cracking by the way and there is always a possibility of an MBO by the family behind it at these cheapo levels IMO.

Binhu you have my sympathy. I've lost big time as well with money I could not afford to lose. Take a break, go for a walk and take your mind of it. You will feel better in time and when you do you will no doubt make it all back.
