20/7/2007 10:47 | Thanks for the research Jim.... | barrywhit
19/7/2007 14:28 | Also note from the rns the contracting of the Byford Dolphin drilling rig is only part of the drilling programme lined up for 2K8. Thats just another reason to expect further news between now and the first quarter 08 imo 'We are delighted to have agreed price and availability with AGR Petroleum Services regarding the Byford Dolphin drilling rig for part of our 2008 UK North sea drilling programme Here is a pic of the Norwegian rig | jimarilo
19/7/2007 14:22 | Yes Jim, beginning of June....... | barrywhit
19/7/2007 14:09 | They still have to let us know what prospect they intend to drill first Once the contract is finalised in a few weeks am sure we will get to know where the drill bit will turn 'We are delighted to have agreed price and availability with AGR Petroleum Services regarding the Byford Dolphin drilling rig for part of our 2008 UK North sea drilling programme and anticipate finalising other technical and commercial terms over the next few weeks.' Having been busy recently, I just realised that GPC already have the licenses from Norway Genesis Norway's participation is as follows: Block 33/12 (Part) Genesis Norway 25% Maersk 35% Wintershall (Operator) 40% Blocks 34/8, 9, 11 (parts) Genesis Norway 20% Maersk 20% Wintershall 20% Nexen (Operator) 40% Gpc not only rubbing shoulders with the big boys but having a slice of the same cake as well ;-) However I would have thought as GPC are doing the deal for the rig they will be acting as the operator, therefore could they be targeting block 16/8c ? "Block 16/8c has prospectivity associated with the 16/8c-13 oil and gas discovery well with multiple pay zones drilled by Marathon Oil in 1993." | jimarilo

16/7/2007 11:40 | digger, Nothing else imho.....still a good medium to long-term hold, just read up on the major investors etc....all we need is a Drilling programme and we will be away........the major investors have placed their own men on the Board, you wouldn't bother to invest and get involved with the company unless you had high hopes of a very good return........ | barrywhit
16/7/2007 11:23 | Is it lack of news that's caused this drop? | digger27
16/7/2007 11:15 | Cheers Digger......... | barrywhit
16/7/2007 11:11 | barry - your wish has been granted! | digger27

18/6/2007 12:45 | Don777, I don't have a clue who is accumulating, or indeed if any-one is, only going by the trades, the mm's are still at present happy to pay 31p for shares...i imagine it is Norwegians adding to their holdings, but that is only a guess.. Holdings RNS not required until order completed, i believe.......dyor.. Don, as soon as there is a drilling programme released, i can't see you getting these shares at 32p.we have billion £ Mkt Cap. companies investing in GPC.......a strong hold.....imo | barrywhit
18/6/2007 10:31 | Barry, GPC is a good one to invest for long term. however, it seems there is no drill for a while( 6 Month?), so in order to let the money work a bit harder, i cashed in the profit and put some where else. i also noticed those big sells recently, just one thing not understand is if the buyer is only one, then it should have a RNS for holding absed on the valume, if more than one, then the share price should be up? do you know? thanks in advance.
