UKOG and the other 'hot' stock HUR are a long way from production.
They have to also prove they can consistently produce economically.

I think DNO say they have 3 rigs in operation across their assets so I wouldn't be surprised to see agressive drilling at Pesh. It's a fast route to significant cashflow

Looking at the payzones that se to have been discovered am I alone in thinking this is a much larger discovery than was initially thought? 5 wells could give us 25,000 bopd on their own as well and we could easily see that within 12 months of they involve a second rig..

cyan - yes but that is hardly a significant drop given that Pesh is a 12,000 bodp discovery (granted much of this won't come back to GENL). It shows the scale of this field and the value of these assets. If there is ever going to be a takeover approach my guess it will be soon

greg: Drilling of the Peshkabir 1 exploration well completed in 2012. Oil shows were encountered in the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic intervals and six zones were tested. The Jurassic Sargelu formation tested 27-29 API oil and water at varying rates of oil and water cut.

Recently acquired 3D seismic has confirmed that the Peshkabir-1 well was drilled at structural closure. The Peshkabir-2 well was located to appraise the Jurassic discovery up-dip from the original well location as well as test additional prospectivity in the Cretaceous.

Regular payments, reduction of debt, political climate massively improved, really good result from Pesh, gas negotiations ongoing, Taq Taq drilling results should come soon. What is holding this back?!

There were massive block trades at 95p so there can't be much of a free float? Who is dripping stock onto the book to keep the price in the 90s? A decent broker upgrade or two would help move the price

This use to move in 50p chunks. I am surprised we did not see a 25p move up from the current price. Good news keeps filtering through, somebody is still able to keep a lid on the price. Once this is let go, it really will be a straight line like Kaz from 67p.... look where that got to when confident finally returned in the stock.... a massive £6 before falling back....

Very good news. Look how cheap and fast GENL can move from exploration to production.
Having been trading GENL since 2012 I find the share price ride quite something.

We will be looking back in a few months (or years who can hold their nerve) and remember the days GENL traded under a pound.

Thanks for the link of video, really announcement of gas assets farm-out (if a good deal for GENL) could easily add a pound or two to the share price.

Really is a cracking update. Be good to know how the drilling at taq taq is going too. I suspect a sustained rise from here, buy while it's cheap chaps!

Unbelievable. GENL could announce that it had been gifted the entire assets of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran and it's share price would drop. Who is selling here? Value will out in the end

Strongly suggest you watch the video of the 2016 results attached to this link.Very interesting, and very candid comments. Gas negotiations clearly going well.
