The share price is reflecting only 50% of cash as of today , none producing assets are valued at zero , wonderfull for the contrarian investor, massive rerating will take place when the boy's in black decide , no amount of negative ramping will bring it down further.

So this week we have seen some very unusual trading patterns (so Im told) with very big numbers on the bid in the 100,000s.

What does this mean. Is someone looking for some very cheap oil and gas assets. Are Begin on the march again, farmin, bid. Why did they buy another 5% in Jan when they were already deeply underwater with their other 10%

Any thoughts......

Capex


Our Capex for the coming years is the lowest in the companies history. Kurdistan is only plan at 30-35$ million.

Capex on the 2017 Africa exploration programme is estimated at $40 million, which includes the c.$30 million already knows about. So there could be some movement in Africa.

My question is with Genel receiving 20$ million per month in payments why is our Capex so low this year.

Why are we sitting on the best part of 500$ million and doing nothing with it. Yes I know we have bonds due in 2019 but these could very easily be refinanced.

Unless of course we have other major plans for our cash..............

Somaliland........

Onshore Somaliland, the acquisition of 2D seismic data on the Odewayne (Genel 50%, operator) and SL-10B/13 (Genel 75%, operator) blocks is due to commence by March 2017. The data will be acquired as part of a Somaliland government owned speculative 2D seismic acquisition project, with the Company purchasing the associated data from the government

At last we are starting on our journey away from Kurdistan. I wouldn't imagine any drilling until maybe 2018-2020 but long term our average is bigger than the whole of Kurdistan ad with a bit of luck..well who knows.....

We are targeting a resource potential of 2 billion barrels of oil........

Lots of worry about Taq Taq due to the massive production decline

80,000 Production Jan 2016
60,000 Production June 2016
53,000 Average production 2016

24,000-31,000 Guidance for 2017

So from 80,000 to 20,000ish in 1 year.......

That not natural decline surely.........Remember our previous field ????

Although the Taq Taq Field already has 28 wells drilled and has produced more than 180 MMbbl to date, there is still a very large uncertainty in the oil reserves. This is mainly because the reserves are dependent on the Shiranish Formation fracture porosity in the un-swept portion of the reservoir which is very difficult to estimate even when, as is the case with the Taq Taq Field, a lot of data has been gathered and analysis undertaken.

I hope this is like KAZ, and we wonder in a years time what was all the fuss about at the 65 to 70p range and we are standing at £5.50, well I can dream can't I? It is Friday.

Looks like if and when this gets to the £1.50 level only then will interest come back in this share, currently it's like waiting for paint to dry.
