The point being Bilgin as a potential distressed seller looking to raise foreign currency, surely?That may or may not be the case, of course; but I struggle to find another reason why the price suffered after the excellent results - market was spooked imo, and is still cautious.

Not sure the Lira's value has any impact here. Earnings are in US dollars converted to Sterling.

Our current sp, imo, has next to no gas potential locked in. The earning from the gas will double the business. In the meantime PESH is adding very signicantly to our earnings. We also have the miran oil to factor in pretty soon.

A bid for GENL is not out of the question and the russian commitment to the pipeline and other KRG interests is very reassuring.

I can wait another year to see us double from here.

Cyan,Turkish Lira Exchange Rate risen from 7.7 to 8.27 in last few days. I suspect that the market perception (or excuse) is that we are a Turkish company and as such can't avoid our share price being hit when the Turkish Lira is.

cyan - if you think gas is what will get us going here, then it's guaranteed disappointment for at least a year, no?Or do you think developments external to Genel's actual asset might be afoot (Russia, pipelines etc). Asking a leading question I suppose.

At last closed above 250p. That is a good sign.
