10/7/2018 20:51 | Where will oil go ?? So for me the price of oil will only go one way and that is higher. 90$ by Christmas The reason I think this will happen is quite complex and to a degree some guess work. When you consider that Barclays see it as 73$ going forward and Goldman Sachs saying 83$ its easy to pick any number. Firstly if you remember in 2008 the Saudis were asked to increase production by the Americans and simply couldn't do it. Remember they are pushing record breaking production at the moment. Can they really do much more. I doubt it. Then you have the triple hit of Venezuela who are 1 million barrels a day down on last year with further likely soon, Libya where the civil war has caused a Force majeure and Iran where you could easily see 1 million plus barrels off the market come November. The Americans are threatening everybody who is buying their oil so it could be even more. Add to this record world consumption of 100m barrels a day, the last 10 years lack of investment running into 10s of Billions and the world stockpiles being drawn down most week its easy to see a shaky and jittery market. Not to forget the Shale industry but they are also pumping record levels, have cash flow issues in some areas as well as skills shortages and pipeline problems as well as quickly depleting wells. I don't think they will be able to fill the shortfall. So there you go the thoughts of Hawkey WTFDIK Hawkey | hawkey2
10/7/2018 20:48 | Ok you win. £3.50 | hawkey2
10/7/2018 20:14 | Hawkey, I think nearer £3.50, with my end of year target of £5 then looking a reality. | kulvinder

10/7/2018 18:49 | Ps. The story is stronger then ever now so glad i amassed a large 6 digit stake in snm.. | panagos
10/7/2018 18:48 | Hi Hawkey, yes i am 35% down as i did a lot of averaging down.Mcap is CAD250m approximately whi ch is not a lot and they just issed a ney $240m bond for refinancing and aquisition of Marathon's part in Atrush.Lundins arecserially succesful with a lot of clout holding a huge chunk of the equity and debt. So a lot of skin in the game yes.I tend to agree that it might not be at genels leque not due to geology (atrush is excellent plot) ...But to the 1 asset story such as GKP.Still i can see it going to 50c from 10c a couple of years. There is a thread in advfn on SNM if you would like to dig up a but more info | panagos
10/7/2018 18:24 | Hi panagos, you must be down a few quid if you have held it for 5 years. With the Abu Dhabi government owning nearly 40% and operating it, it could do really well. Interesting that the Lundin crew are bank rolling the company also and their name crops up again and again. Either of these have deep enough pockets to swallow up Genel and GKP if these chose to and wanted to pay the price. They paid 60$ for 15% of the field so that seems a lot of money (remember Taq Taq) Also they have a hell of a lot of dept. They also have a fair bit of debt. Having said all that with a fair wind it could be a decent investment but for me not in Genels league. Hawkey | hawkey2
10/7/2018 18:06 | Last couple of days have been blue so thats encouraging. However the rises have been on smallish volume and significantly less than PMO and GKP which I have to admit I find surprising. I know Im a huge Ramper of Genel but I honestly do not get it. Debt free soon, oil at nearly 80$, huge FCF, 3 current producing oil fields, Huge Gas potential etc etc. Heres to a few more blue days and that magical £3 and then onwards... Hawkey | hawkey2
10/7/2018 17:39 | Apologies in advance for the ramp but I am a holder of SNM in toronto for 5 years plus and I only now feel (after my imitial excitement in 2013) that it will motor.I only share it to like minded people who love Kurdi oil... they own 35% of Atrush field currenly producimg 25.000bopd and wish to develop it to 100.000 in a few years.Of course Genel is tbe daddy :)Please dyor | panagos
10/7/2018 17:12 | A bit of a frustrating day, thought we would touch 270 minimum today.... | kulvinder |
