Pretty much in cash in my trading account.. Think tomorrow could be fairly volatile re the OPEC meeting and PoO affecting these sorts of Cos. Just gotta buy the dips IMO. Looking to buy 20k GENL and 20k TLW at some point either tomorrow or Monday...See what happens.

This is valued at c£708m and if this month is replicated through the year- should actually increase with the new wells coming on line- but it should get c£300m in revenue. Market to book is .44, according to the financials above too- - Quite remarkable really. Value will out. IMO etc

Most of GENL's shares are held by II's and the directors;

Compare to UKOG where there is NO institutional interest and the CEO Steven "we'll all be retiring to the Bahamas" SANDERSON does not hold ONE share.

He will be retiring to the Bahamas on his gigantic salary ; NOT on the back of the shares performance;

Here he is BS extrodinaire ;
hilarious

No arguments at all from me there cyan as you know - and a very good thought experiment for visualising what we have, I think that should be referred back to in the future.That's enough to curtail my moaning; I'm annoyed at not being able to harvest more at a cheap price, rather than lamenting the price per se. This will be much higher in due course, simple fundamental real value determines this (imo).

"Most e+p's have to rely on the jam tomorrow potential value and that's it."

Look at UKOG where the ceo predicted that with $50 oil "we'll all be retiring to the Bahamas" What BS!

A company that uses 'billions of barrels' OIP to excite the novice investors.

Promises of being fully funded followed by dilution after dilution. An incredible money pit , Yet, there's an army of small Pi's who continue to dream of being millioniares in a few months; new cars, paying off the mortgage. Just wait till they see an oil tanker leaving after the HH EWT; they will be sooo excited.

The difference with a decent producer like GENL is stark; here we have the equivalent of a tanker filled every ten minutes of every hour of every day; 365 days a year; now that is production to be excited about. And of course, we have 2 BILLION barrels of oil equivalent gas assets to be exploited not factored into the share price imo.

Hey where is pogue..?

Miss the good old days of last December when genl was trading less that 1 quid and pogue was calling it a sell.

Miss some of that expert talk...

Oh well 50sma at 248p.

Bouncy time off the 50dma!

Indeed cyan - for me though the fact that we have the income, FCF, and rapidly disappearing debt that we do, means that on a basic balance sheet and forward revenues valuation this share price is nonsense.Most e+p's have to rely on the jam tomorrow potential value and that's it. That's about the least significant driver of value in this company!

My honest opinion is we will not see a Gas deal. We will be taken over.

Just reflect on the gas asset potentional; circa 2 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

Positive news on that front will reignite the share imo.
