poor guy probably imo was ready with a lot of good positive info for the 17th

DB must have some solid news to deliver very soon, the tweet seemed to me to be like some kind of "dont panic we are nearly ready" riposte to Pfizer's announcement.

perhaps but the repercussions are massive, especially as you correctly say there is not enough data to suggest how long it lasts if it completely neutralizes and stops it spreading how does it handle mutated strains and obviously side effects.

Also the people used for the 40K study what was the age group ethnic background? just saying if you have 40K healthy strong individuals go in more than likely their immune system may handle the disease pretty well any way as we know some people just think they have a cold and actually have been tested positive.

They may provide a receipt that you have had the vaccine lol
open to more fraud a little bit like in France i believe where people were selling fake test certs lol

There are ~200 vaccines coming down the line most of them will fail ! so lets see what happens in the mean time Testing is key . Hope DB and co are on the ball here . we need to see err "Fireworks" here GLA ..

i think they have announced it to give some hope to the world, constant testing will still be required before air travel, they wont accept "oh ive had the vaccine" line from anyone and like other claims of we have found a vaccine they soon find out its not suitable for everyone or has side effects which deems it pretty pointless in my view. You cant cram 10 years of clinical trails then regulatory approvals into 6months.

Never thought we would see these prices again, bit of an over reaction i think and the tweet from DB looks like an attempt to quell fears here as testing will be needed for a good few years yet and approvals/sales must be very close, worth a decent punt at this price.

the government announcing £40Bn to testing suggests that they still believe it is necessary.

But must admit it really has hit these stocks hard.

God knows why its taking so long to get this approval.

My plan was get FDA hopefully see a decent rise take some profits place it into Carnival and RR but this has just wrecked that.

missed the ship on all counts lol.

i hope he has contracts lined up cos when if we get this approval he will need to get them out quick and fast but i do not think we will see a big rise in share price now.. Markets has set its stall for vaccines and stocks that mean getting back to normality not much interest remains in GDR ODX etc IMO.

Yes I feel the results were delayed to announce a large deal but after the vaccine news who knows if that changes things. I would doubt it in the short term like DB says we still require testing

From DBReally great news from Pfizer releasing their phase 3 data assessment for their mRNA-based #vaccine candidate against SARS-CoV-2. Safe and deliverable vaccines are what we all need to get back, or part-way back, to our normal lives. Early days still, but surely promising. However, vaccines won't do away for the need for large scale testing and monitoring solutions until the virus can be largely eradicated from the global population. Diagnostics remain an integral part to the long term solutions and strategies of managing COVID-19. #GDR #covid19testing
