I certainly won't be hurrying to get a vaccine that's been rushed through with no observation of longer term side effects. The logistics of rolling it out are going to take at least a year given how incompetent this government is!

Two doses, three weeks apart, are needed. The trials - in US, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa and Turkey - show 90% protection is achieved seven days after the second dose.

Pfizer believes it will be able to supply 50 million doses by the end of this year, and around 1.3 billion by the end of 2021.

However there are logistical challenges, as the vaccine has to be kept in ultra-cold storage at below minus 80C.

There are also questions about how long immunity lasts and the companies have not presented a breakdown of the vaccine's effectiveness in different age groups.

Let's put this vaccine news into perspective.Out of 44000 participants who had the vaccine AND placebo (so 22000 got placebo), only 94 people in total have been infected so far. What they're reporting is that 10% of the 94 infected were in the vaccine arm.Seriously ?! We're supposed to get excited about this?With such short term safety data available, I can guarantee that very few people will be happy to have a vaccine until longer term safety data emerges!All this rampant news will be put into perspective soon, and covid stocks will be back on the rise.

Really getting desperate for some investors. How can any one trust a CEO that releases an RNS at 8.30 allowing the spike to 300p , knowing well he had done a placng.
