21/10/2013 08:48 | There was a very good TV program last night about Peter Carl Faberge on BBC 4. The story was about the jewelled eggs specifically. However they did keep mentioning the name Faberge, so it must be good. | uncle john

17/10/2013 15:20 | Just googled it and sapphires actually come in yellow too - very fashionable evidently! I am highly optimistic on this one now things have settled down after the Pallinghurst debacle! | juzzer100
17/10/2013 14:55 | ' The London-listed miner also said that it was keen to expand into other gemstones and was close to acquiring a sapphire asset. "I've said it a few times that Gemfields would like a traffic light of coloured stones. So what we'd like is emerald rubies and sapphires - the red, green and blue - and then the rest to piggy-back on that," Harebottle said'. apologies if already posted | hazl

16/10/2013 20:16 | Faberge/ Gemfields and Coutts are sponsoring the Cheapside Hoard exhibition at the museum of London - see hxxp://www.museumofl Yet another imaginative and effective example of how Gemfields/Faberge are bringing coloured gem stones to the public's attention. | 43rick
16/10/2013 19:28 | Reverse head and shoulders on the weekly chart .possible 35% upside to about 35p in the short run.I was In Harrods today and met Dev Shetty chief operating officer of Gemfields at the Faberge collection. What a gentlemen and after chatting with him l left and went and brought some more shares because people like Dev Shetty at Gemfields the company business will be at the top of tree. | gary38

14/10/2013 22:31 | Best Deal Of The Year? Who were the judges? Directors of Sefton!! Agree with crazycoops, 43rick and TicTac, I was disgruntled at the time of the takeover. But price did not drop away as badly as I thought it might, it is also recovering faster. But I don't think it will gallop away. | uncle john
14/10/2013 18:42 | In July I posted in a somewhat disgruntled fashion. I wasn't happy then that Harebottle had made good on his assurances that there were institutions thinking about buying into the plan. I'm hopeful that perhaps I was too fast to judge - it seems that the recent move up could well be along those lines. Zambian government shenanigans, success of Rubies, and managing at least to cover the costs of Faberge. Three key measures, and I'm hopeful that all of them can be dealt with. If Faberge does more than break even we're off to the stars. I'm a little concerned that we might spend money in India before the above is settled, but in the long term that makes sense too. | tictac
13/10/2013 15:45 | Those who were shareholders before the acquisition were understandably thrown by the 40% share dilution - between the announcement that the acquisition might occur and the actual event, the share price slipped by 40%. Which is about where the share price is now. The question for those of us who invested after the Faberge acquisition is will Faberge fulfil Gemfields intention of raising the profile and price of coloured gemstones and increase the demand for them. IMHO it will. | 43rick
13/10/2013 12:26 | Gemfields have won an AIM Award for 'Best Deal of the Year' - that's the Faberge acquisition by the way. I'm not sure those who were shareholders prior to the acquisition will regard it as such a great deal, although time will tell. | crazycoops
12/10/2013 02:47 | Two positive articles in the latest issue of the investors chronicle.Mention in one of the articles is that 3 of the next 5 auctions will be held outside of Zambia .Also the icing on the cake is Faberge and their latest selection which i saw with great delight when i visited Harrods. | gary38
