FTE 45m lbs JORC U308

Takeovers last couple of years have been done at $10 per 1m lb resource.

That would value FTE at $450m or around £300m.

FTE current cap is £10m and the share price is 1.25p offer.

Broker has 26p target : )

Fill your boots imo. GCL just bought in.

Update Paladin - share price starting to tick up...

Long Term Off-take Contract with a US$200M Prepayment

for 13.73Mlbs of deliveries from 2019 to 2024. Looks like a good deal, using mine value to underpin, so they can reduce % assigned as.if they can increase the asset value of the mine...

As a long term holder (now well under water) it would be good to have more discussion/views on the future of this share. Will it go lower short term? Where is the floor value of this share? When is recovery likely to start? Will the end of the megatons to megawatts program spark it into life? Is the nuclear waste moratorium in the US a long term hammer blow? What is fair value at present U and Au prices? etc

bones - uncanny tracking, suspect a few others might also look like that, would be good to see one plotted against price of U.

on similar thread, whilst U price stays around same level I think the pressure building when a correction happens is going to increase and it will pop at some point, which should give a lift to the SP's but may again create a spike bubble, on balance I think I'd prefer a gradual rise over the medium term than a bang bust scenario, which seems to be building.

Either way I see U establishing a higher floor price this time next year closer to 75, rather than 50.

I have been waiting to get back in so still on watch list. I have no idea other than to try to buy at really low price, which for me would be 20% lower than the
current price.

Update - Czech bids for two more reactors..

full story @

Three previously approved reactor vendors have today submitted their bids to Czech utility CEZ for the contract to build two more units at the Temelin nuclear power plant. A new public opinion poll has found strong support for their construction.

In November 2011, CEZ released detailed tender documentation defining the full scope of the public contract, including commercial and technical requirements for the supply of two complete nuclear power plant blocks on a full turn-key basis, including the nuclear fuel assemblies for nine years of operation. At the same time, it formally invited the candidates - Areva, a Škoda JS/AtomStroyExport/OKB Gidropress consortium and Westinghouse – to submit their bids for Temelin units 3 and 4.

CEZ said that all bids and plans must comply with the relevant legislation of the Czech Republic as well as applicable EU requirements and safety requirements defined by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Western European Nuclear Regulators' Association (WENRA). Furthermore, noted CEZ chairman and CEO Daniel Benes, the plans must also be licensed in the vendors' home countries or in one of the EU Member States. "Compliance with this set of requirements is a prerequisite for obtaining all the necessary licences in the Czech Republic," he added.

Update - Directors (Some names in common here, with this and other NCIM trusts)

Don't know much about Preatorian or how well it'll be recd in this market. Best hope is it attracts some new money and then they buy more shares in the holdings of Golden Prospect, Geiger and New Energy (which share quite a few common holdings) - like Ausgold (which could do with a kick in the preverbial)

Mining investment company Praetorian Resources Ltd plans to join Aim in early July.

There are no real limits on what geographies and types of mineral that Praetorian will invest in. No more than 20% of net asset value will be invested in any single company.

Guernsey-registered Praetorian ( has appointed Charles Cannon-Brookes as its investment manager and Malcolm Burne is a non-executive director and a member of the execution and advisory team. Both men are also directors of cash shell Longships. The other member of the execution and advisory team is fund manager Richard Lockwood who is a Longships shareholder and a non-executive director of Praetorian. Burne and Lockwood have been involved together in the company that became Ambrian Capital and Golden Prospect Precious Metals. Praetorian chairman Robert King is also a director of Golden Prospect Precious Metals.

Former Kalahari Minerals boss Mark Hohnen is a non-executive of Praetorian

Update - UAE (actually about steel bars, but a bit about UAE plant @ braka)

full story @

UAE rebar maker meets nuclear grade28 June 2012
Emirates Steel Industries - the only integrated steel plant in the UAE - is now certified to produce concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) for use in nuclear facilities having met the necessary quality standards.

Preparatory groundwork for the UAE's first nuclear power plant at Braka is already underway, with the pouring of the concrete basemat for the first unit scheduled in December. In a $20 billion deal announced in December 2009, the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (Enec) selected a Korean consortium led by Korea Electric Power Company (Kepco) to build four APR-1400 reactors, the first of which is scheduled to come online in 2017. Further reactors could be ordered as electricity demand grows from some 16 GWe currently to an expected 40 GWe by 2020.

Other Middle Eastern countries - including Saudi Arabia and Jordan - also have plans to introduce nuclear power into their energy mixes.

Update U general

full article @

ASX-listed Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) was up 5% over the past month, and 18% over the past nine months, with the company moving off a low base and rebuilding value through exploration, cost cutting and renewed focus on environmental and social issues.

Uranium major Paladin has been flat over the past month, but RCR noted that the company was continuing to make good progress on operational cost reductions at its Langer Heinrich and Kayelekera operations, though overall performance remained leveraged to the low uranium price.

RCR also earmarked Paladin as a possible takeover candidate, with speculation fuelled by Cameco's recent C$1-billion capital raising.
