Bangladesh plan to mine their own domestic resources to reduce the high costs of imported coal. Importing will still be required for 2 years until our domestic resource is ready. Reliance on import will then reduce as Phulbari is ramped up & other fields start producing.

These same ports will also be used to export surplus coal from their domestic resource. It’s all detailed in the feasibility study
