Power technology issued update:

According to GlobalData, who tracks and profiles over 170,000 power plants worldwide, The Phulbari Coal Fired Power Plant II is 2,000MW coal fired power project.

It is planned in Rangpur, Bangladesh.

The project is currently at the permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases.

The project construction is likely to commence in 2026 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2028.

The project is being developed and currently owned by GCM Resources and Power Construction Corporation of China.

The company's ownership stake in the project stands as 80% and 20% respectively.

Power Construction Corporation of China is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.
