I thought so, but 3 calls to SELFTRADE and they seem to be saying something different.

I have further asked the question on Google and the consensus seems to be that they will be removed.

If so I can just hold in certificated form.... will cost me an extra £30 to get it certificated.

I would however be peeved if that means that I can no longer top up my ISA for this year as I have used the extra £3K that became available in June this year to purchase GAS within my ISA.

According to the ISA team at Charles Stanley, the shares held in ISA's will have to be removed at the delist date as it is no longer a regulated listing and no open market in the stock.

Fox,

I asked that very question twice, before adding and was told that I could so long as it is still trading and once delisted I can just let it fester in my account.

I think I will phone and reconfirm.

EDIT:
I deal with SELFTRADE and they have confirmed again that it can just stay in the account after delisting.

Buggy, I've known about gasol for a few years, having been a long term Afren holder. Obviously I feel for long term holders here, but as a fresh punt there might be value here. As previously mentioned I held Sunderland FC shares on delisting and the worst thing I did was sell as people kept saying it was stupid holding delisted shares.... Within a year or so they were taken out at x3 price. As an aside, are you allowed to hold delisted shares in an ISA?? I genuinely don't know the rules, but have a suspicion they might make you transfer them out.Foxx

fox,

Thanks for feedback, my sentiment exactly as I would probably not be able to trade these for about 3 years. Anyway for good or bad I have now placed my bets with 56,758 shares into my ISA.
I used the extra ISA allowance for this year on the shares, so willing to wait.

I have been reading through a lot of material on the company but realize that I do not have the same knowledge on the company as most of the resident holders.
From what I have been reading, I believe that they could start gas delivery next year?

Quick question for those holding.

I am thinking of chucking no more than £3000 at these. Do you think a holding of just about 50,000 shares is a bit small for a delisted company?

As in, there is still a market for them.....never said there was a Dyson involved....more like a Halfords 12v car-vac......

Teraferma, I believe they did. Someone is hoovering these up.

A good indicator will be a spike in price on the last trading day...

GjdI take your point especially as the delist was always going to happen seeing as they had majority shareholder approval. My point was more did they want that reaction, because someone's buying. All insignificant now.I intend to buy a few more prior to delist, I would imagine they already have funding lined up and then hopefully both projects should be up and running.

'To enable Shareholders to buy and sell shares, Gasol will be retaining the services of its Registrars, to facilitate any private transfer of Ordinary Shares.'

Anybody know who the registrars are or how to trade with them ?

thank you Bronislav for the info. i did not know that.
sorry for the ignorance
But how is it possible to take profit in the future (a part of dividend) if it is not possible to trade the shares? are you saying that is still possible to sell the shares with a broker?

Bcos you still have a share of the company and they must think that will be profitable in the future.

why today someone bought some share when it was already communicated that the company will be delisted?

Teraferma

That wouldn't have made a difference. The only difference would be that those that wanted to take a hit and sell wouldn't have been able to.

Holding suspended shares at a higher price is no better than seeing the shares fall, except maybe psychologically.

The value of the Company has not fundamentally changed, just the market's perception of the value of the Company. This is why they want to delist anyway.....

Question:

Could Gasol have suspended their shares prior to GM to decide delisting?
We have lost 60% of value since the announcement.

Just picked up a few. Gonna write it off and forget about it - but you never know - I've lost a lot more of 'safer' investments.

Hi I am holding as well. A few years ago, someone, who was close to the board, said that this Company would be bigger than Afren!
