I am convinced when the recovery starts on here, the share price will move upwards very quickly.
This is due to the sensitivity of its share price movement due to the reduced number of issued shares (with the share buyback helping too).
Any news on business improvement in the UK and further growth in Germany will take the share price to $18 - £20 within 6 to 12 months.
I am convinced we are dealing with a sound and solid company with an excellent business model that really makes money - Basically a cash cow with profit margins over 50% .

The decline began in October 2024. Agree its sentiment. Long-term investors must be exiting due to eroding share price profits, while newer investors are facing losses—creating a negative feedback loop that further depresses the stock to undervalued status. Compound some profits into GAMA... I certainty am.

But perhaps it is those large UT trade of close to a million each day in the last 3 days. Combination of both.

I note Questor headline says sell GAMA which surprised me.

But the article reads:
Finally, telecoms company Gamma Communications recently moved to the main market. As a result, it is no longer eligible for inclusion in our Aim portfolio and will now be removed. Since being added in January 2018, it has produced an 86pc capital gain. This is 115 percentage points ahead of the FTSE Aim All-Share index’s return.

So this is not a sell recommendation, unless like Questor, you can only hold AIM listed shares in your portfolio.

86% over 7 years is not too shabby - especially as GAMA share price today is over 50% below 2024 highs. For me its a buy at these levels, with loads of cash and PE of 12.5 compared with nearly 20 at its highs.

The absence of any broker note today was unhelpful - unless someone can share same. Deutsche Bank maybe? I saw a DB note from 160924 suggesting a price target of 2300p when the share price was 1696p

A broker might have reduced their price target by a couple of % based on the soft trading. And I suspect the actual share price would be a lot higher now.

@PinkFish I don't know when renewal is. But when it comes round, yes, there’s always margin pressure during negotiations, but equally where I work we’re seeing much larger year-on-year growth in all areas. Remember GAMA also grows with the growth of each of their clients an not just number of clients.

We use only the most reliable, high-quality technology like GAMA. Most of GAMA’s clients including my own organisation are domestically focused, continuing to grow and still in need of technical transformation in other areas. I would think the majority of clients are highly defensive growth. No Tariff risks and the falling dollar is also good for us on costs.

@EssentialInvestor29 The previous director had lots of shares. Lack of director buying could surprise the share price to the upside when they do. I expect director buys after the FTSE250 listing as this happened at ALPH, but pure speculation on my part.

Scruff - I think a key reason for the GAMA share price decline is AIM IHT funds (particularly Octopus) being forced sellers in the weeks leading up to GAMA changing its listing onto the main market. I suspect Octopus have just reported a further sale of 2.7M shares today.... meaning they have some 1.8M left by my calcs.

When these sellers are closed out - and when GAMA enters the FTSE250 - then funds and trackers will be buying in...and the share price should repsond accordingly.

Having followed the business for a number of months, this seems like an ideal entry point - so I bit the bullet today with a medium sized position.

Perhaps managers are not able to buy while waiting for a possible promotion to the FTSE 250. Good news on an unlikely trade war on software this weekend.

There are a number of reasons behind the fall in the share price. The obvious one is Trump, but since software services are not directly affected and only slightly exposed indirectly, the drop was mostly down to margin calls and the shares recovered quickly afterwards (HGT is a good example of this).

Smaller things like the delay to PSTN probably did not help.

The slowdown in Germany will not have helped either, although that now looks to be bottoming out.

There is another reason that has not been made public. I am in a bit of a unique position as I have seen renegotiations on margins first-hand, and they have been successful for at least one of the major long-standing clients I work for. Fund managers like BlackRock, who had been reducing, would no doubt have known about this.

As a result the share price has dropped around 30% from its peak. I remember similar fears and facts just before ALPH was promoted to the FTSE 250 last year, when I managed to make 50 percent on the recovery. I am not expecting that sort of return this time, but I think something closer to 30% is realistic, which seems to match the view of others here. But who knows. I expect tariffs to remain but negotiated down to a more sensible level but will put UK and software on the front foot:

And reason GAMA is potentially the best one for this environment:

1. Mostly UK and Western Europe revenue (limited tariff exposure).

2. Sells communications infrastructure services (sticky, B2B recurring — not discretionary).

3. Low debt, strong cash conversion.

4. Pays a dividend, which offers a yield cushion if rates fall or if the market gets rocky.

5. Not priced as a "growth stock," like Atlassian so less likely to suffer multiple compression.

Look at the comment below by hcgg... Octopus specialises in offering clients a way of benefitting from (now) 20% IHT relief via investing in a fund consisting only of AIM shares. They held almost 7% of GAMA shares and have notified that they have sold 1.5%, so any more still in an IHT sheltering fund still need to be sold. Any fund manager with a similar fund, which has shares in GAMA will now have to sell out completely by May 2nd. The upside is that is not long to wait, tracker funds will be buying in now and all the while GAMA will be supporting the share price with their buy back. I believe there will be plenty of people who have been watching on the sidelines for this to bottom out who, on today's news, will now want to benefit from the rise and will buy in.

No mention of the great results? Ok, these are great results- the share buy back shows the Board are frustrated to be delivering such good business progress whilst the share price shows market disinterest. Hopefully the penny willdrop and the share price will rise.

The net cash position would become a problem of drag on the share price as cash generation is high. GAMA is not ready to become a boring dividend paying company with no growth until perhaps it gets to the FTSE100 in many years time. The capital deployed has been excellent. While we do not know how low the share price will go, we can be certain the share price rise will be very strong.
