Not 'crazy' - I think base. I'd more say entirely predictable.

It is highly unlikely to see any breakout above the 47pish mark, until we see Confirmed news of strong Christmas trading.

Prices starting with a '3' certainly begin to look lie 'deep' value - and may well come good in the end, but equally might still be available in the new year.

In the past I would for sure have been buying these bargain prices, but I'm learnng that there are opportunities for so much more in a shorter time frame.

The first half results last year were horrendous so the bar is very low. Also the games market seems to be picking up so we might see a good outlook statement next Wednesday. The net cash position and short lease length gives a bit of hope in an otherwise horrendous retail market.

bookbroker - I should clarify that I didn't mean BIG corrections (I'm not for example expecting the share price to start with 2 again for example, but a 3 wouldn't be out of the question), but I do think we'll see ebbs and flows of confidence for a while yet.

We're already now in "one more correction" imho - possibly exaggerated by a (misguided) "sympathy" reaction to NXT today.

To actually get the breakout personally I think we'll need to see confirmation rather than expectation / hope of decent Christmas trading before any breakout.

So I don't personally see any rush to be buying this side of Christmas - perhaps I'll put GMD shares on my list for Santa ;-)

Why on earth would there be another correction or two, what are you basing ur facts upon apart from the gap ups from the summer, this was re-rated on the matter of the cash essentially on the balance sheet, Ashley’s interest and the prospects for Belong. It may occur, but what would be the catalyst, and an interest rate is a half-baked asssumption, gamers are not bothered about rate rises, they want the latest consoles/games, no two ways, best to believe here, this has been in a downtrend for nigh on two years and going nowhere in that time, it appears to have touched base!

I would never call myself a chartist john, but for my money I reckon there is room for one (or even 2) more correction before any convincing move upwards. Maybe interest rise will cause one and poor overall October retail sales another?

But that's all just blarney - medium term I certainly think this looks good and is for sure back towards the top of my watchlist.
