20/3/2012 07:40 | VOG has turned itself around over the last two years. Focused on West Africa with its first in country large gas discovery in Cameroon. Now a producer supplying the industrial hub of Cameroon. Only one way VOG is heading. Absolute dead cert. Well worth a look. GLA on here. | stevedawn

19/3/2012 22:47 | FEWDOLLARSMORE, no problem mate. Just take it easy with FOREX, stick to 1% leverage, and don't fight the market, i.e., doubling up your positions. I manage to take 20-30pips per trade (sometimes up to half a dozen times per day). Some days I don't trade at all and wait for the market to come to my entry point. On GBPCHF which moves 100pips+ daily it is not too hard. You have to be patient and wait for the best moment. I've lost my entire FOREX account twice before I've learned first not to lose money, then how to make it. Now it is almost automatic, sometimes too easy. Don't use any indicators, just price action and recent support/resistance levels. Only trade in one direction of the prevailing trend. And the most important thing "Lose your opinion". It is amazing by just taking 20pips a day, 100 pips a week, and 400pips /month, you are actually making 40% annual gain. And all of that without any leverage and very low drawdown. As far as GMG are concerned I've lost £80k. The mistake was to invest 30% rather than my usual 10% per stock. Last minute deal can still happen so I'll hang around for either 0p or some money back. Trading stocks, doesn't work for me. I buy undervalued, hold until it goes overvalued. GMG fitted those criteria, the rest is history... I hope you don't lose the job, for the FOREX to be sustainable business, you need at least £50k and a good trading plan. Wish you all the best. | justthemoney
19/3/2012 21:27 | GAME Group shares yo-yo as OpCapita bid unravels Following news that the OpCapita buyout may not be happening and reports that this week marks the company's last stand, shares in GAME Group have crashed and then rebounded again. GAME Group has had a tough weekend that has continued their month from hell. The Guardian reported that a buyout deal with OpCapita had stalled, whilst The Sunday Times reported that the group had one week to raise £180 million or face administration. The market closed on Friday at 3.072 pence and then opened this morning at 2.5p and then plummeted to 1.6p within minutes. The share price has increased steadily and significantly since then, appearing to level out at around 2.7p. MCV reports that talks with suppliers and lenders continued over the weekend but a deal does not appear to be in sight for the retailer. Any package to save them from administration needs to be in place by the weekend. Potential buyers include Wal-Mart, GameStop, Hilco and OpCapita, but all of these companies don't necessarily want GAME's complete portfolio of stores, warehouses and offices worldwide, which makes an absolute buyout more difficult to broker. | crackmanjonny
19/3/2012 21:25 | justthemoney - thanks, I have been looking at forex but need to free up time ie leave the day job which could be taken out of my hands in the not too distant future... I have lost out on GMG, the mgt are either in it for themselves with no regard for shareholders or merely incompetant beyond belief. I cannot beleive they have lacked basic foresight and planning for a mere dip in the industry cycle anyone with half a brain would have started planning for a drop in sales, cut dividends and started to hord some cash in preperation oh no not these smart guys. All the best with your position maybe there are a couple of twists still to come, sincerely hope you and others invested make some money back. | fewdollarsmore
19/3/2012 20:19 | Hadn't realised quite how much vog had diluted shareholders over the years. Now has a massive market cap and 4p share price. Price is going nowhere! | wooster4

19/3/2012 19:30 | Shareholders (I'm one of them) can kiss goodbye to their money, almost dead-cert. The board have worked undercover for the past 2 years, only revealing the true extent of their incompetence 4 weeks ago. By that time share price was in pieces. Have to admit that the market priced this one well, despite all upbeat and deceiving statements from the management. | justthemoney
19/3/2012 19:25 | Lets all remember there must be some (1,000s) very stressed employees at the moment as well as shareholders. It can't be easy to be working under this uncertainly. | knigel
19/3/2012 19:24 | administrators days away. | logbaba
19/3/2012 19:24 | It's unlikely anybody buys them out outside admin process. Banks want to be paid off in full: £120m Suppliers: £40m Quarterly Rent: £24m Wages: £18m Shareholders: £20m Total: circa £222m Suck the Board: £££££ Close 1/3 stores: £XXm Make 1/3 people redundant: £XXm Revamp remaining stores: £XXm You are talking circa £300m to turn this one around. Walmart could do it, OpCapita not so sure. Either way shareholders are the smallest of their expense. Going into admin, they could cherry pick avoiding banks, suppliers, etc..., of course shareholders would get nil. | justthemoney

19/3/2012 18:32 | Dating site offers to help struggling Game Group by bringing 'dating zones' to British stores Website www.dateagamer.co.uk has contacted the struggling chain with a "unique" partnership opportunity it says could turn the business's fortunes around - by doubling-up stores as dating venues. The move could net "millions" in shared revenue for Game, it is claimed. | colinhy |
