12/1/2023 09:58 | Solid hold for me. | oldtimer169
21/12/2022 10:39 | Today's trading update is relatively encouraging, being in line with management expectations and showing overall continued "solid" trading in H2 - this is perhaps an improvement on the outlook in the interims, which stated H2 margins would be impacted by inflation etc. Unfortunately we have no way of knowing what those expectations are, since there's been no WH Ireland note for aeons AFAICS. I suspect the share price is down due to a few sells on a bit of uncertainty over the statement on renewal of facilities. Given the low overall level of debt and the reasonable health and prospects of the business this shouldn't be a problem imo, but with maturity in January there isn't long to wait for confirmation. | rivaldo
18/11/2022 13:50 | GMAA are looking for a boost from the World Cup at their base in Sharjah: "For Tom Murphy, head of FBOs and aircraft management specialist at Gama Aviation, which has an FBO in Sharjah, a city close to Dubai, incentives and being aware of Qatar’s guidelines will be essential. “Our FBO is an alternative for those flying into Dubai, with the airport in Sharjah a little quieter, so you tend to get through a bit quicker,” he says. “We’ll be starting a World Cup promotion offering free parking, and we’ve had a lot on enquiries around the games so far – a real mixed bag of business jets and commercial aircraft looking to base themselves here, flying back and forth to Qatar, and then the business jets are either operators chartering the aircraft or private owners looking to go to the tournament." | rivaldo
03/11/2022 07:11 | Three weeks of holidays in these days of austerity, Rivaldo? Shares must be performing well :). Hope you had a nice time off with the family. | jeevsje
02/11/2022 10:54 | Been away on family hols for nigh on three weeks, and in that time GMAA have announced two major new contract wins and the acquisition of a new hangar facility in the USA! With the two new contracts both becoming operational from Jan'24, and the new hangar facility from Q1'23, the outlook for GMAA is looking increasingly promising. In the interim there'll be a need for investment to support all this new business. Interesting times. If GMAA's finals build on the encouraging interis then perhaps the company can finally recover some positive sentiment - if Rozzi Inc don't take it over first. | rivaldo
02/11/2022 07:34 | Another key announcement - heading in the right direction and won't be surprised to see share price above 100p, esp with shares being tightly held by a few. | jeevsje
20/10/2022 16:41 | Shhsshhhh... | jeevsje
20/10/2022 11:11 | Things are picking up here. Two decent announcements in as many days. | oldtimer169
28/9/2022 07:40 | Rivaldo, results out :) | jeevsje
09/8/2022 08:40 | The H1 trading statement is actually rather encouraging..... A nice, solid performance - revenues up 20%, improved gross profit margins, and EBIT in line with management expectations (which I hope means a positive EBIT rather than a loss). Since there hasn't been a WH Ireland note out for two years I have no idea what those expectations are :o)) Perhaps they'll deign to issue an update now things are improving. And the outlook is similarly confident: "The recovery in activity and revenue growth is expected to continue through the second half of the year with full year Adjusted EBIT expected to remain in line with management expectations." The credit facility narrative looks as if it'll be fine given the cash and the improving outlook, and the resolution could give rise to further upticks. Interesting to see what happens from here: | rivaldo
30/5/2022 15:56 | Results last week showed a $0.8m adjusted EBIT in H2, up from a $0.4m loss in H1, with $129.5m of revenues up from $106.4m in H1. The outlook is mixed for obvious reasons. Let's hope the "continued revenue momentum" in 2022 outweighs everything we know about inflation and supply chain pressures. So no immediate catalysts here. Unless Rozzi (or anyone else) decide to bid. | rivaldo
18/5/2022 07:22 | This news is interesting..... "Gama Aviation’s Sharjah, UAE-based FBO saw a record-breaking year last year and expects to make major announcements on the expansion of its more than 40-aircraft fleet in the coming months" "Murphy said the company had seen bright starts to the year across all of its FBOs, each of them performing above forecasts and enjoying increased movements in 2021" Extracts: "Gama Aviation’s Sharjah FBO Sees Record Year by Peter Shaw-Smith May 17, 2022, 2:23 PM Gama Aviation’s Sharjah, UAE-based FBO saw a record-breaking year last year and expects to make major announcements on the expansion of its more than 40-aircraft fleet in the coming months. “[The year] 2021 went from strength to strength. 10/4/2022 18:40 | Agreed - you may well be right if a predator wants to chance their arm before the prelims/next trading statement. Interesting comments this week from a Director at a GMAA subsidiary: "Dwayne Chandler, Senior Director, Avionics Sales and Business Development, Jet East notes: “Business aviation continues to experience a period of growth and we are seeing an increased demand for both regular maintenance and upgrades to legacy aircraft to keep them flying longer." | rivaldo
05/4/2022 17:39 | anyone buying into this following the takeovers/delisting of John Menzies and Air Partners? seems like an obvious target for their chinese main investor to take them out on the cheap | george stobart
08/3/2022 15:07 | The year end trading update is finally out. It shows that in H2'21 GMAA made a very decent $1.1m EBIT from its core activities. This is because in H1'21 GMAA made a $0.4m loss, whereas in the entire year GMAA now say they've made a $0.7m profit after stripping out the $4.7m exceptional losses. In addition, GMAA now have $12.5m net cash plus $12.4m RCF headroom. It might be said that GMAA are - slowly - being turned around successfully. The proof will be in the H1'22 pudding, especially with the "challenging operating environment": | rivaldo
21/2/2022 13:05 | Next one to be taken over after John Menzies. Hardly any shares available. | jeevsje
09/2/2022 15:56 | Air Partner Plc got a takeover bid two weeks ago John Menzies received takeover offers this morning Gama Aviation is next | george stobart |
