18/1/2022 09:49 | No stopping this one at present. Let's hope this reflects an improved performance in the last H2 over H1'21. | rivaldo
17/1/2022 08:49 | GMAA's Sharjah operation was "buoyant" in 2021 - and this has continued into 2022: "Gama Aviation : Sharjah FBO continues growth in 2022 01/13/2022 | 12:41pm GMT Buoyant 2021 continues into start of 2022 2021 was a successful period for Gama Aviation's FBO at Sharjah International Airport, and that looks set to continue into 2022. Head of FBO's Tom Murphy explains; despite the constant challenges, we saw a 30% increase on pre-pandemic volumes in Sharjah. Whilst this is an encouraging number, what we have been most proud of is the amount of new aircraft and clients that have visited and since become regular customers. For prolonged periods our apron reached 90% occupancy, which considering our capacity is a success story in itself!. Tom also states that this momentum is extending into 2022. "less than a week into 2022 we have achieved 60% of our budgeted monthly movements - the feedback we are receiving from our new clients is of their surprise of our proximity to Downtown Dubai, the added benefit of a zero slot restricted airfield and a 6 minute taxi time from runway to parking apron"." | rivaldo
14/1/2022 09:16 | Nice - up 5p on a mere £5k purchase this morning. Not much stock around? | rivaldo
04/1/2022 10:15 | RNS - $2m received on the sale of CASL: and the share price is up 7% on just £1k of shares traded! Those Rozzi Inc. purchases have made liquidity pretty tight here. The CASL sale was completed on 31/12, so GMAA will be able to show 2021 results net of discontinued businesses. H1'21 showed a not too bad $0.4m EBIT loss from the continuing business. I've got no idea what H2 will show - the H1 outlook was pretty vague. Fingers crossed the February trading statement (assuming it follows last year) is positive. | rivaldo
27/10/2021 10:39 | Glad to see that the price has a bit of momentum from being 37pence ish for most of this year to mid 40s and long may it continue - which is what momentum is supposed to do. My average purchase price is nearly £2. Ouch!! | camerongd53
22/10/2021 14:24 | A 30,000 share buy at 43p has moved the price up almost 9% today :o)) Looks like Rozzi Inc. have cleared out the market of stock. Cheers ai2. | rivaldo
13/10/2021 13:12 | Thanks for those last two posts, rivaldo. Very interesting and much appreciated. | aimingupward2
12/10/2021 12:20 | RNS - Rozzi Business Inc. have increased to over 19% now, with 12.15m shares: | rivaldo
08/7/2021 11:01 | GMAA's recent acquisition in the USA has big expansion plans..... To average down or not to average down, that is the question: "Jet East Opens Las Vegas Mx Facility, Plans Hiring Fair by Jerry Siebenmark July 7, 2021, 10:31 AM Following the opening last month of a service hub at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (KLAS), business aviation maintenance provider Jet East is looking to bolster its staffing there by hosting a hiring event on July 26 and 27. In all, the Trenton, New Jersey-based company has more than 50 job openings at KLAS for maintenance, avionics, and structures technicians, as well as several other support positions. At KLAS, Jet East is operating from an existing 30,000-sq-ft facility, a spokesman told AIN. The company plans to eventually have more than 100 people working at that location. Designated by Jet East as a Citation center of excellence, the company's KLAS site will focus primarily on supporting the Citation Sovereign, the spokesman said, though “we are already seeing some super-midsize and large-cabin aircraft visit as well.” Jet East inducted its first Sovereign at KLAS on June 1. Acquired by Gama Aviation in January, Jet East has a footprint in the U.S. that includes 400 employees, more than 90 AOG technicians positioned across the country, coverage of 65 business aviation airports, and more than 10 line stations and heavy scheduled maintenance facilities." | rivaldo
04/6/2021 13:44 | Why so, jeevsje ? | aimingupward2
03/3/2021 13:52 | Watch out, could see a bagger or two soon. | jeevsje
18/2/2021 23:07 | As his entire holding was a freebie (thank you for that info jeevsje), then should I buy a single share, I'll be risking more of my money in the company than he has of his so far. Unfortunately, that means I'm less likely to opening a position myself in the near future, but I'll continue to monitor with interest. TOC | theoldcodger
18/2/2021 22:40 | The 25k were freebies, and hence, your first statement about capital loss should not apply here. | jeevsje
18/2/2021 12:58 | Alternatively, he may simply be realizing a capital loss for tax-planning reasons as we approach the end of the tax year and it's a rather puny holding too, but perhaps it is an indication of him expecting better times ahead. I'm watching, but currently do not hold. TOC | theoldcodger
18/2/2021 11:37 | A slightly brighter indication last night - the CFO has plonked his entire shareholding into his ISA, presumably to avoid tax on future gains. Since the CFO should in theory know what's happening better than anyone else this is never a bad thing: | rivaldo
16/2/2021 08:50 | Today's year end trading statement is unlikely to move the dial much here, for the moment anyway. It's encouraging that H2 continued to recover without any adverse surprises, and the big 'special mission' contracts performed well. And cash is reasonably healthy, so GMAA shouldn't have problems on that front, with GMAA able to splash out on the jet East acquisition for $7.7m recently. But it's noticeable there are no actual figures to hang your hat on. Perhaps the results at the end of April will provide a brighter outlook - by then, certainly in the UK given the successful vaccination programme, there should be a clearer picture ahead for the sector. | rivaldo
25/1/2021 15:42 | Happy to wait this out, put some in my pension. | escapetohome
15/1/2021 11:14 | You never know the telegraph might include them again in their portfolio. Still have mine. | escapetohome
15/1/2021 10:48 | Aye. Good news and still holding on for considerable upside once the covid cloud diminishes. | twirl
15/1/2021 10:27 | Nice to read some positive news here. I agree very much with your sentiment, rivaldo, expressed in your final paragraph. | aimingupward2
15/1/2021 08:48 | Good news - a synergistic $8.7m acquisition in the USA of a full-service business aviation aircraft maintenance provider: I note that this will be earnings-enhancing after the first year of acquisition. Pretty clear they had a rotten 2020 (probably much like GMAA - we shall see), but GMAA will hope they can return to their 2019 performance showing a $1.2m EBIT. I'll hold my relatively small holding here (even smaller these days!) - it keeps my interest up in GMAA, as there could just be substantial upside once COVID begins to fade and if management focus on the basics. Rozzi Business Inc aren't in here now with a large stake just for the love of the business. | rivaldo
11/11/2020 14:42 | Yes, this certainly a significant turnaround after along decline in the share price A lot further to go, so a good time to join in. | aimingupward2 |
