The RNS states that Truscott leaves with immediate effect, but, the RNS from CRST states "The Board of Crest Nicholson announces that Peter Truscott will become the Chief Executive of Crest Nicholson following the cessation of his contract with Galliford Try PLC which is expected to be in September 2019."

The rat deserts the sinking ship. Sinking in large part because of his incompetence.

God help CRST.

Not a good sign at all careful and with immediate effect, so something must be amiss. Just as company seemed to be recovering, we could have done without this but then it may lead to a good buying opportunity?

Careful: Yes, does seem that way, though other than lash out comments, no indication of cause. I can't help thinking (on zero info) it's a case of over trading where they take on too much, farm it out to sub-contractors, greedy for differential margin, only to find receipts not keeping up with payments.
Perhaps not dissimilar to pyramid selling.
As you say, likely good for GFRD and hope re interserve employees, (sub) contractors don't get sh*tty end of stick.

Still improving today.

Interserve into administration could be helping.
Before that CLLN.

GFRD could be like Forrest Gump's fishing boat after the storm.
The only one standing, good for business going forward.

Spudders:
Personally I have way too much in house builders, but struggle to find other sectors.
I'd rather be top heavy in a sector I am comfortable with than put in one am not, just for sake of diversity. Having said that, please think twice about overloading one share and/or sector, no matter how good your past history with them is.
I am a new boy here, only since 2013. ;-)

My mistake DR, misread your post on TW.thread. Good to see your holding, I’ve been here since 2007 and will continue to add when funds permit. Long term I think GFRD will make higher margins on the construction side but for now it is what it is.

Hi Spudders.
HB=House builders presumably.
Not sure why you think I am out, I did sell BWY, but mainly to fund a SIPP payment and felt they were toppy compared to others.
Still have GFRD, PSN,RDW, TW.
