17/4/2003 15:56 | efficient trader, When did the directors sell 20m at 2-3p?! They didn't. I still think that the wording does not rule out some return to shareholders. It certainly doesn't say administration or receivership yet. The liabilities of GAI apart from investee overdraft guarantees, ie Sensonic at £1.5m, are small. The maths says there should be something left, even allowing for wind up fees. We might even be left with a cash shell. Awaiting next announcement. | sreddy
17/4/2003 15:52 | efficient trader - as did i the fsa don't give a f... though, no-one does. as for the board, if they did sell into the float statement then they absolutly don't give a f... and are wealthier for it. i mean would you give a f... about the 'little' people if you had just given yourself a six figure bank balance at their expence. if i were them i would be reading this bb with a massive smile on my face | knopfler
17/4/2003 15:47 | Give me a break, they havn't summitted any results, they are going pop. | efficient trader

17/4/2003 15:41 | I've got to say, the company has not gone into administration yet. It might mean that even after losing the guarantee deposits, particularly Sensonic at £1.5m, and paying off liabilities, there may still be funds left for shareholders. They had c. £5m in November. | sreddy
17/4/2003 15:36 | just group board done a similar thing and they are all now running their own businesses. some of which they purchased from the administrators. the city don't give a f... for as long as they make money out of the likes of us. my offer stands - £1 for the lot | knopfler
17/4/2003 15:27 | As suspected they have waited to 'bury' the bad news just before the bank holiday to attract least attention! That RNS about the three floats looks very suspect now, where has the potential buyer gone? Suggest the FSA look into this one. | jubjee
17/4/2003 15:26 | they never asked me if i would buy it. £1 and i'll take it all (except the debt) | knopfler
16/4/2003 22:21 | Who mentioned lay off - the receptionist is grat at taking sharholders details and failing to pass it on to the Directors. | army9
16/4/2003 16:39 | Cappagh, I don't know the answers for certain, but if GAI are going to the wall then it's likely to be cos they can't meet their banking commitments. If this is the case then any such commitments will be paid off out of any assets they own first. When companies go banrupt the administrators fees are often quite horrendous, and the shareholders are last in the pecking order. So if they do go bust don't hold your breath. It would be possible that we'd get something back but it's quite unlikely. If the company is in that much trouble then the best bet for us poor shareholders to get anything back would be a bid for the company. | grebo
16/4/2003 09:05 | Can anyone help? What companies have GAI invested in? Are these companies a going concern? If GAI goes to the wall what will happen to th monies that's invested in these companies? Will GAI shareholders get shares in these companies? | cappagh

14/4/2003 14:22 | Seeing as we can obviously trust every word our board of directors say, we have only 16 days to wait now until all is resolved.... .....anyone dare to disagree? LOL | nav_mike |
