21/5/2021 19:22 | No one, or any institution would invest in GAL while it had no funds to progress. It was getting together the funds from a few key ones, mostly existing shareholders, that unlocked everything. There was no 'travesty' involved. Its the way things work, and as an 'investor' you'll have to get used to it. And anyone investing in any co small or large, knows that markets are not anywhere like 'efficient'. And a bit of thought will show they never can be. | lurker5
21/5/2021 15:34 | The Count : The ability to invest in shares like GAL is one advantage that the private investor has over the institutions. True, the institutions can pick up a meaningful number of shares at (say) a 10% discount in placings, but not at a time of their choosing — nor will they be able to sell them when they want to. Thus institutions tend to shun such companies. As a result, the market is dominated by an assortment of individuals with varying degrees of rationality, as is manifested on the bulletin boards. This occasionally gives rise to golden opportunities, which the wise investor can profit from handsomely. | meanreverter

20/5/2021 15:12 | --->ALL The 15k @ 39.4p a short while ago was actually my buy. I have traded a few today to try and play the MMs at their own game. So far so good. Regards, THE COUNT! | the count
20/5/2021 12:40 | Yes noticed that. Also it's worthy to notice that the share price was constantly trading above the PP price ever after. That is a very rare thing. I guess it's because the PP was a steal as The Count says... | panagos
20/5/2021 11:56 | Panagos Exercise price on those options is C$0.86 so they surely see them going higher..... | mineng
20/5/2021 09:53 | Sorry TC, but you are in profit already :) I see directors, management and consultants are lining their pockets with options granting today. | panagos
20/5/2021 08:42 | --->ALL Checked with my broker, it is now 44.97p to buy a measly 10k shares. I decided against it. Too much over the 42p touch. But it's been a remarkable turnaround. it was always all about the funding. Those that were lucky to participate, must be laughing their heads off. We can say that now with the benefit of hindsight. Regards, THE COUNT! | the count
20/5/2021 08:39 | --->PANAGOS Wish you hadn't told me about Canada. I tried to pick up another 5k at 41p but I couldn't. So I managed to buy 2 lots of 2.5k instead, but I paid 41.29p, which was 0.29p over the odds. Never thought I would see the day again when I would be chasing GAL stock higher. What have you done to me? :-) Regards, THE COUNT! | the count
