If this offer is withdrawn I would expect the price to crater again and next time no white knight to help retrieve some value.

John09, if the BoD get their way the 35p will be off the table, no price floor, and the "propsed" JV might not happen.

No guarantee of magic beans, no guarantee magic beans will have value anyway.

It also allows the credible industry player to play hardball and the asset they want is s/w, not semiconductors. You will be left holding the bag.

It reads as another bad idea by this BoD.

I could imagine them offering Sci Group BoD seats to stroke some egos. Hopefully Sci Group take-over completely.

£14m market cap is woeful . I’m still expecting someone to come out of the woodwork although the scale of the SAG holding clearly prohibits somewhat

The point in selling is you get the money now ... hanging on means you believe there will be either an increased bid or competition. Having your shares compulsory-purchased will have an opportunity cost, clearly.

I doubt skilled workers need worry as there is demand.
Oh, I forgot, the BoD laid off some a while back.

Either way there’s no point in selling because there’s a guaranteed 35p floor. Best to sit and see what happens

Sci Group can play hardball with this bunch & there is little the BoD can do as outside begging shareholders not to accept any offer, the BoD are naked.

Perhaps next they might resort to destroying value on purpose instead of just through incompetence to spike Sci Group and dissuade a take-over.

Actually I think this is interesting. It basically says let’s talk, let’s do it quickly, up your offer and btw we are gonna update the market soon on trading so don’t wait for that mr bidder

BoD desperate to keep the gravy train going.

Under their stewardship the shares dropped to sub-10p

Why would this new joint venture be any better than anything else they've managed during their time at the helm? Everything they have done to date has eroded shareholder value despite the opportunities and market dominant position.

R&D spend of multiple times the current market cap during their reign also highlights just how far out of their depth they are.

Hope the takeover goes ahead and they are immediately sacked.

This 2nd bidder needs to out (if there’s any truth in it whatsoever - I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an outright lie.

Otherwise we go for 35p simple as that. Science group should have said 45p and frankly that would be that

It reads as though the FST Board prefer the 2nd option and hint that the proposed structure is important to the Board, possibly meaning they get to keep their jobs. "with a view to executing a corporate transaction which may or may not involve an offer for the Company. Discussions continue with this second party with a view to clarifying the proposed structure and pricing, "

Holders unimpressed. Let's see if M&G or Axa take the bait but can't see why they would rush into selling. Offer open for 14 days. Plenty of time to see what comes out of the woodwork.

Science group also purchasing 10 million in the market at 35p.
