06/9/2018 09:54 | Hi Fredstanley101, FST aren't competing with Amazon, Google, or Samsung. They are supplying companies that want to make smart speakers, or voice activated IoT devices. And that's (potentially) a lot of companies. You mentioned that FST are losing market share in DAB - I would be interested if you have any evidence of this, because I've missed it if so. | rob_evans

06/9/2018 08:51 | Fredstanley isn't it the recipient devices that FST is targeting now. So enhancing Amazon Google etc devices. Or did I misunderstand | amt

05/9/2018 22:08 | Hi Rob Evans, it's not just about the company trying to compete with Amazon and Google: their pursuit of smart things around the home is also then up against big guns like Samsung who already have their own established voice activation and control systems too? The only (weajening) strength this company still had is in dab. | fredstanley101

31/8/2018 15:27 | Very good news today - I think those that think this is about companies trying to compete with Amazon/Google in smart speakers are really missing the point."As a result, Frontier is now able to work with third-party brands and manufacturers to integrate Alexa into smart IoT devices such as smart audio, home automation, smart appliances and security systems - quickly and cost-effectively."Th | rob_evans
31/8/2018 11:11 | Nice announcement but the money is getting this integrated into the third party products and those products selling. When will that happen? Will it happen? I see that Google have launched a premium speaker - Google Home Max - but then that sort of product tramples over third party products. How much of a market is there for third party products? A year ago I was bullish on FST, but sold out when the share price crashed down to 80p or so - lack of faith in the management. I'm monitoring to buy back in but am nervous, not helped by the wide spread. | mark4231
31/8/2018 10:50 | That’s 3 little bits of news that haven’t been RNSd. I wonder if we will have a pop up soon. The other poster is right, when things were going well news like that was causing 10-20% daily share price rises and that’s when the share price was north of £1.50! | john09
31/8/2018 10:44 | What happened here? a few were call for £5 next year, even £10, I guess they were being a tad optimistic, not in these, still doing due diligence | ny boy
31/8/2018 10:43 | news not even RNS'd - utter contempt for shareholders. | the drewster
31/8/2018 10:31 | The Alexa news would have sent the share price sharply up in H2 2017. Today it doesn't trigger a single purchase. There may be a realisation that smart audio is a highly competitive market. Unless FST can develop some unique IP we may be a small player in this market. | nod
31/8/2018 08:36 | Anthony Sethill, Chief Executive Officer, Frontier Smart Technologies, might just as well have said: 'Mumble, mumble, we look forward to working closely with our remuneration committee stooges to expand the number of share options, exorbitant bonuses and obscene salaries Johnny and I can wangle at shareholders' expense.' | birkenhead
31/8/2018 07:24 | Frontier confirmed as Alexa Voice Service Solution Provider London, 31 August 2018 Frontier Smart Technologies, a pioneer in digital audio and smart IoT solutions, announces that it has been confirmed by Amazon as an Alexa Voice Service Solutions Provider. As a result, Frontier is now able to work with third-party brands and manufacturers to integrate Alexa into smart IoT devices – such as smart audio, home automation, smart appliances and security systems - quickly and cost-effectively. Customers can choose from two options. The first is a cost-optimised turnkey solution, based on the company’s SmartSDK and Minuet hardware (an integrated module with limited requirement for external components). The second, for customers seeking greater flexibility in the design process, is a software licensing option, where Frontier’s SmartSDK can be combined with their preferred silicon and hardware. Both options offer a rapid route to market with Frontier’s software and hardware being pre-certified. Frontier also offers design services to help accelerate the product development process. In addition, with a long track record in helping customers develop Wi-Fi enabled devices, the company places a premium on ensuring its solutions meet the highest standards for security. For audio brands, Frontier’s SmartSDK offers numerous additional features - including audio equalisation, multiple codecs, user interface options, and audio synchronisation for multiroom applications. This announcement is the latest in a series of recent collaborations between Frontier and Amazon. In August, Frontier upgraded its Minuet platform to allow smart audio devices (without their own built-in microphones) to be controlled by devices with Alexa built-in. Earlier in the year, Frontier also launched a new version of its smart radio platform, Venice 6, which now supports Alexa and Amazon Music. Anthony Sethill, Chief Executive Officer, Frontier Smart Technologies, said: “Frontier is now one of the small number of officially recognised Solution Providers for the Alexa Voice Service. Our fully qualified software and hardware solutions help customers build smart IoT devices incorporating Alexa – quickly and cost-effectively. We look forward to working closely with Amazon to expand the number of devices with Alexa built-in.” Priya Abani, Director of the Alexa Voice Service, said: “We’re excited to work with Frontier to provide customers with smart, voice-forward solutions. Frontier’s SmartSDK and Minuet hardware give ODMs and OEMs a simple way to integrate Alexa into their devices.” About Frontier Smart Technologies Group Limited Frontier Smart Technologies is a pioneer in technologies for digital audio and smart IoT devices.
