15/3/2006 11:44 | I prefer cash shells that are supported by cash just in case they do end up going belly up after April 1st but your strategy appears to have paid off so far... DEll, I have my eye on a brilliant one! | substantial wealth
15/3/2006 11:42 | overeager - cheers and good luck. I presume you've already spotted the predictable RNS: 15 March 2006 Flightstore Group plc Share price movement The Board of Flightstore Group plc ('Flightstore' or the 'Company') notes the sharp increase in the Company's share price today. The Board knows of no reason for this increase. Flightstore is a small cash shell company and, as such, the Board is reviewing various acquisition opportunities. The Board is unable to assess at this time whether these opportunities will lead to a transaction in due course. Rgds dell | dell314

15/3/2006 11:39 | Dell, I missed the top on NCS but sold at .9p. Still, I only paid .2 so not too bad. I also don't speculate - hence spreading the risk over 5 stocks (a mini shell portfolio no less) Like I said, more of a hobby than anything else. I usually buy and hold for the bulk of my money. However, I actively trade around 10% just to test my mettle! | overeager
15/3/2006 11:33 | overeager - did you sell NCS on the spike, or are you still holding it? It has to be said that MMs appear to be playing a blinder taking most of the stock they sold back at much lower prices. I'm a bit of an accounts bore, so I don't do speculative very well but I'd guess that NCS is still one of the smaller mining shells even after the big rise(especially after the pull back). I'd guess future moves depend on Crosby's status in the city and what price he can get new stock away at(and how good he is at manipulating the press. Isn't VOS valued at around £9mln for a "mining shell" with practically no assets, simply due to all the unsubtle press leaks that they are about to unleash a huge deal?). FWIW, I thought Future Internet was ludicrous when it rose to 30p but it still went higher and they placed stock at manty multiples of the original 4p cash value, so the men behind the scenes can make a huge difference. Personally, I prefer cash shells that are supported by cash just in case they do end up going belly up after April 1st but your strategy appears to have paid off so far... All IMHO, DYOR etc. Rgds dell | dell314
15/3/2006 11:26 | Well I have been away... and I can't see much to get excited about here. I will have a small punt.... does anyone have any other shares worth looking at? | p-m
15/3/2006 11:21 | Dell, So far that's NCS and FLG. I won't mention the others as that would be ramping. All I would say is that ADVFN has some very useful filter tools available to subscribers. If you filter based on market cap, then net assets etc, you will know my list. To be honest I only did it as a bit of a wheeze. As you'll be aware, these stocks are illiquid so can't make mega money, Still the odd grand here and there all adds up. I'd be interested in any other investment themes you might have yourself. | overeager
15/3/2006 11:01 | Overeager - fair play. What were the two that paid off? I'm wondering if the LSE will slyly leak the 50, or so, on their hitlist to the papers before the deadline, as that would certainly liven things up a little! Rgds dell | dell314
15/3/2006 10:57 | Dell, I agree with you that the RNS would not give any cause for a price uplift. I bought into FLG after having done some analysis of the lowest market cap companies listed as I see an opportunity in these shells prior to the rule changes taking place. So far, two out of five investments have paid off, the overall profit paying for more than my five investments. | overeager
15/3/2006 10:49 | I've bought a few in ACV (Advance Visual) this morning hoping for a similarly misinterpretable RNS from them pre-April deadline!! | double6
15/3/2006 10:45 | overeager - Don't you find it worrying that the only reason this appears to have risen is that the people buying failed to understand a simple RNS. It's quite possible now that the company will issue a "we know of no reason for the rise..", RNS to clarify the situation, as they must realise that many have misinterpreted yesterday's RNS. Indeed, if Sebire knows that there is to be a development at FLG before the end of the tax year, then it would appear that the moving of his holding from the trust to his own name could be seen as using inside information to manipulate a capital loss within the family trust. Therfore, assuming that Sebire is a decent chap, of which I have no reason to doubt, then I'll be very surprised if there will be any developments in the near future.... All IMHO, DYOR etc. Rgds dell | dell314
15/3/2006 10:37 | Still alot further to go IMHO | overeager
15/3/2006 10:01 | Cheers Dell, and ggod luck. | oakville
15/3/2006 09:37 | It could well go higher..but i need the funds..NXS will double | substantial wealth

15/3/2006 09:32 | Happy days..i`am out | substantial wealth
15/3/2006 09:32 | londonmetro - As usual, you are wrong. 1) I don't believe that the April 1st deadline applies to FLG, as they have only recently become a shell, so have additional time. 2) Sebire didn't add to his holding yesterday. He simply purchased stock from his own family trust. i.e. It was already his beneficial holding! Is this too complicated for you lot to understand?? All IMHO, DYOR etc. Rgds dell | dell314
15/3/2006 09:31 | So, just to be clear on this- a Director sells a few shares to himself, and the price goes up 80%. Classic stuff. Hope noone gets hurt too badly. | wiganer
15/3/2006 09:29 | Oakville - I do think that a lot of idiots misinterpreting some tax planning moves as a large director buy can move a stock. Especially when MMs are carrying large volumes of stock and are only too happy to give it a run out. We know they are looking for an RTO, as that is what a shell does but if you are still claiming that FLG have given you any market sensitive information, about an RTO being imminent, then I will repeat my assertion that you are a liar. All IMHO, DYOR etc. Rgds dell | dell314
15/3/2006 09:28 | I will ask you OVEREAGER, do you think something is afoot ?? | oakville
15/3/2006 09:28 | dont forget this is a cash shell and must sort something out buy April or delist new rules for cash shells just like netcentric directors buying knowing something is up. can see a few more 100% gainer in next few weeks all cash shell with poss RTO's | londonmetro
15/3/2006 09:27 | make that 90% dell. I won,t carry on all day (unlike the share) but i would like you to retract what you said earlier. | oakville
15/3/2006 09:25 | Well if you ask me, (which you didn't), something's afoot | overeager |
