16/11/2017 15:20 | Good write up about prospects for Fresnillo | gateside
14/11/2017 19:28 | Gold and with it silver will likely fall until the December rate rise. Also au and ag have been weak at Christmas for the last 3-5 years. So although I am holding I think fres could drop to £10. Gold is just above the 200 mda and the uptrend is at 1250 so a pretty precarious position. I'd love it to bounce and these head back to 1600 but been realistic a fall looks more likely | ukgeorge
14/11/2017 18:53 | What do folks think will be catalyst to get this back upto 1600's? Silver miners seem unable to catch a bidI sold at 1630 and thought i did well to buy back in at 1450 but have been stuck at 1300 waiting for ride back up. Frustrating. | mharrison60
13/11/2017 12:28 | Junk Bond Market getting interesting... | hamhamham1
13/11/2017 10:44 | Actually 24 months before they drop off the S&P CAPE calculation :) | hamhamham1
13/11/2017 10:37 | Will be interesting to watch how long people wait to ride the santa rally before getting out? Or maybe people will think, I had a good ride to date and bank profits early? I see the Shiller P/E (CAPE) is over 31. Only 2 previous times this happened was before 1929 Crash and before the DotCom Bubble. I think the CAPE going to sit in the early-mid 30's or higher for the next 18 months until the the late 2009 huge P/E ratio's drop out of the equation?? Anyway, mostly staying cash at the moment as I have't a clue whats gonna happen and any timeframes :) | hamhamham1
10/11/2017 15:05 | Am in today @1296. I think there may be a bit of a sell off in markets and people gotta put there money somewhere :) Will see. | hamhamham1
07/11/2017 14:26 | H - same with HOC, just take your pick. Market makers are testing the stops and have been for some weeks. | charles clore
07/11/2017 10:33 | 1680 two months ago, now, only 1296. Has to be a fine upside for FRES from here. Topicel, I agree, steady improvements, mining looks good at FRES. | hectorp
30/10/2017 13:48 | Jeez. Flash crashes. Watch your stops..... | ifthecapfits
26/10/2017 16:15 | Not so optomistic, difficult to see when sentiment will change, those nutters on King World News been spouting dirge about the explosion in PMs for years, they are so friggin wrong it’s entirely credible that they have lost the plot completely, bit like Marc Faber, they are totally lost in the NWO for assets! | bookbroker
25/10/2017 13:55 | Steady production improvements and guidance for the full year still in line so as ever the sell on news brigade are taking Fresnillo down due to the strength of the dollar and perceived weakness in PM prices. Once that changes the reversal will be significant. The future is still more than sound IMHO. Topicel | topicel
24/10/2017 12:49 | After 2016, this has been a rather disappointing year, and I made no money at all so far. Largely as I have been out of the markets so not surprising! | hectorp
23/10/2017 10:17 | I read a good article the other day about the silver miners underperforming their geared ratio to silver - not that silver is doing great, but one day of course silver will bounce back over $20. I suspect an overarching problem for the mining stocks is that when there is a Stock Market correction all stocks will fall. I want to create new geared positions for a large rally in several miners but when to get started is my issue. We have not seen a decent seasonal rise in gold - yet, but by Christmas , we could do. I realise a lot of this is relating to US rate rises, or not rises etc. Should gold get to over $1400 in the coming year then we will see silver at say $21-24 range. The miners are mostly producing silver at just under $12 an ounce , so $21/22 silver, doubles average sector profitability and puts a rocket under the miners. Oh when to get in with some miner positions to anticipate silver getting over the $18 mark, I feel its not far off. | hectorp
19/10/2017 16:49 | It is not a rising PM environment these past six weeks though, is it? YTD maybe, but Fres is up 20% on 2017 so as ever depends when you bought. The silver highs last year were 20 bucks and change, while gold was north of 1350 and has fallen back from a recent attempt at that level. Those Pm levels need approaching again and then we might see £20 here. Personally, as mentioned a few times, this should get to £30 mid-term. Plenty of rocky roads for fiat currencies to tread yet this year and next which PMs will benefit from. Topicel | topicel
19/10/2017 15:54 | Another pathetic performance from this company in a rising PM environment, what is the point in holding stocks like this when they provide such poor returns to investors? | bookbroker
17/10/2017 09:06 | The potential new US Fed chair that 'impressed' Trump is a hawk for interest rate rises, usually not great for gold and silver. Historically that is not true as witness the period 2004-6 when numerous sequential rises saw gold multiply... Just jawboning. Topicel | topicel
16/10/2017 15:13 | Anyone know why Fres down 1.5% but metals are up? Production report is next week. Thanks | mharrison60
16/10/2017 15:10 | Anyone know why Fres down 1.5% today? Metals are rising. Thanks | mharrison60
03/10/2017 09:38 | Hopefully we have seen the bottom here. Fingers xxd. | ifthecapfits |
