My core positions are BRWM (as well) and The Jupiter Gold and Silver fund run by Ned Naylor Leyland.

The Blackrock Gold and General OEIC is another way to do it, but as yet haven't gone that way.

The best of the majors is Agnico (AEM) I think. I like Fury because it also holds a big chunck of Dolly Varden silver's equity, and that's difficult to buy directly in the UK via my broker.

Silver was a 2-year high of MXN483, +19 yesterday. It's still 478, which would still be +14 over two days if it holds. Gold still practically on its 2-year high of MXN39950. They are both still right up there at 2-year highs. FRES shares today seem to be just ignoring the PM prices in local currency which are holding up thanks to the falling peso v $ every day.

My gold (and copper) position is in Newmont since $30

Have now added here, I cannot believe this is still under 600!!

BRWM is also one of my holdings, it's cheap still and pays a good dividend

FRES is only up 28% from a 5 year bottom, the move here hasn’t even started yet, there’s a potential several hundred percent gain if silver follows gold to new highs, most novice traders will have sold out for a small gain long before FRES makes new all time highs.

I must admit that I'd not be unhappy with a nice technical pull back to buy some more FRES.

I didn't add to my holdings near the bottom, because I was picking up positions in Agnico Eagle, Newmont, Fury and New Found Gold.

In summary, I think we're in BTFD mode for the foreseeable.

No idea on Chestnuts credibility, but Silver did drop out of its Up channel on the 12th April, and does look like it is forming a new down channel with a bottom currently at around 2670, which would fall in line with chestnuts.
Now I think Fres is way under valued at the current Silver Price, so a Silver hedge may be an option.

Silver MXN482 from 485 earlier. That's a 2-year high. Gold also testing its 2-year high at MXN40050.

I'm afraid we can only assume chestnuts sold up and moved on while telling everyone to buy as his hedge fund pals would force a much higher price. I can see he is still active on ADVFN, just not on the Shanta thread. Frankly, it was always difficult to believe what he was saying and his predictions / methodology fell into the crackpot category. Hopefully, nobody acted on what he had to say.

Just proving yourself to be the idiot you are chestnuts .. small shareholders selling out that were bought up , apparently , by your hedge fund mates that you were saying guaranteed the sale would not go through. Why lie ? You can’t change your posts . Want me to put a few up .. show people what a liar you are ? I know that hedge funds dont add to there position at the buyout price especially in the quantity they have been, and as i have said they after a much higher price , and the fact that they bought in for most of the holdings at a much lower price and the fact we are in a gold bull market and they bought in in the first place because of this, so not really interested in selling, as they have told me this. And now they know that the bid as failed and they want over 18p but gold as risen by 10% since and this will have pushed shanta buying out price much higher. And yes 24p is feasible and its still cheap.

So whilst I took the view Shanta could not be trusted and if the bid did not go through the Sp was in serious risk of a run .. this idiot was ramping it to 24p which , if anyone listened and stayed in , they missed the opportunity to move into other precious metal miners .. such as Fres .. and have missed out on significant gains . In the end chestnuts was wrong on all fronts and tried to mislead investors.. for what end I don’t know for sure but he reckoned he hung on to his shares .. hmmm .. really ?

Sold out of chestnuts and came back to justify it telling every one that they could buy in cheaper, and so when most of the shareholders had sold out to the hedge funds there wasn’t enough small shareholders to stop the vote and the bid went through and he still doesn’t get that his actions and the other small share holders who sold out sealed the fate of shanta.

Well the charts are pointing to a temporary technical move down, $25-6 Silver and $2200 Gold. Doesn'nt mean it's going to happen though especially with Israel being naughty and trying to drag us all into a war with Iran/Russia. All eyes on what Israel do next and then Iran's response to that and then Israel's repsonse to that and then Iran's reponse to that etc etc

Silver on the move again, up from MXN470 to MXN 477. So still flirting with the highest close for 2-years.
