I’m an idiot who said 700s were possible with weak support for this share . Needs some very good news or it’s drifting for months .

All gold and silver miners oversold, you know traders always over do it on the downside and the upside. I would imagine stop losses kicked in for the cfd boys. They been scalped, I bet up tomorrow.

Remember 820 was a huge resistance last year - should be a support (end of day prices)

Best to be both investor and trader here, long-term FRES is looking great, but the high ATR suggests volatility which is what you need to trade 👍

There's nothing unusual or negative about a stock being range-bound.
If you can take-in the good information here you'll note that 880ish is the top of the temporary range for the time-being. The bottom of the range probably around 820 (not sure from a ta perspective). So if you're an investor in this superb Business, then hang-in there man. If, on the other hand, you're a trader, then buy and sell at the levels mentioned.

Stupid - you are usually pretty up to date on figs. Given the Fres dividend policy of between 33-50 percent of profit after tax, have you used your 30 years experience as a tax fiddler to calculate the forward yield at 850p a share with silver at $27??

It's not a PE of 22.

One only needs to look at the silver price rise. June 2020 close was $18.17, June 2021 is up $10.51 (52%) on the year, Fres will be £20-30 next year.

Best thing to do is open another beer and wait. I'd guess the rise will start a few weeks before interims, ie early to mid July similarly to last year.

Its a going concern with along history and a PE ratio of 22, and that's bang on average for the FTSE 250.

FRES's last set of result were affected by COVID restrictions, and the price they get for their produce is a hell of a lot better than last year.

The yield is also better than a T-bill.

Worse case - PM proces fall to a par with last year i.e. flat performance meaning current proce is unchallenging.

Best case - To the moon if PM prices head in that direction.

Every week that ticks by with Silver around $27.50 and Gold over $1800 makes it more likely the shorts won't wat to carry through the Q2 results at end of July IMO.

The MSCI index thing should have worked its way though by then.

If in the meantime, its an actual business with positive cash flow, resources in the ground with a product which will always attract a bid. The bonus is the positive yield.

desertdan,

The shorts are controlling the share price here at the moment. It could still be a legacy from the MSCI selling and a low dividend and / or a hedge against long bets on Silver.
I continue to hold as I am super bullish on Silver which will eventually reflect in the share price. This price is an opportunity.
