Silver and gold still stuck at their now flat 50-day averages ... which is not a bad place to be as 200-days keep setting records. MXN631 and MXN53400. |
Or Wait for next set of war or crises:) |
Silver has eased back to MXN626, back in line with gold's recent sideways pattern. Gold and silver's MXN 50-day averages have turned level, with spots close but just under. They seem to be thinking about what to do next. |
JPMorgan cuts target to 850 from 900, overweight. Suits me. |
What's with all these tree shakes. We all know it's undervalued. |
It's not much as yet but silver seems to have delinked from gold for a few days, with MXN silver nudging up as gold goes sideways. MXN635 and 63720. |
South Korea declares martial law. :-o
Doesn't seem to be affecting gold (yet) though FRES seems to have noticed ...
Telegraph live business news:
2:11PM South Korea declares martial law
The South Korean president has declared emergency martial law, citing North Korean threats and domestic “anti-state forces”, writes Daniel Hardaker. In a televised address to the nation, Yoon Suk Yeol vowed to “eradicate pro-North Korean forces and protect the constitutional democratic order”. He said the opposition’s impeachment attempts and budget cuts had paralysed the government, but promised swift action to “rebuild and protect” the country. |
After that strange midnight drop and bounce last week, MXN silver and gold, @ 632 and 53960, seem to be in a holding pattern - messing about with (slowly rising/levelling out) 50-day averages. It's been giving me a rest from having to check constantly. |
Will we get a Santa rally this year |
Silver over 2.5% today. |
You may be right Aleman on a possible acquisition at the right time and the right price as many smaller miners are facing problems in Mexico and elsewhere. |
Forecasts continue to creep up since the last update. Free cashflow consensus forecast (13 analysts) from 2023-2026 is currently as follows:
$-55.9m $507.1m $709.7m $598.2m
Net Cash is predicted to reach about $1.1bn in 2026 (+$1.4bn over 3 years) after paying out around $1.3bn in capex and around 90 cents in dividends through 2024-2026 .
I don't think they've got the balance between Net Cash and dividends right but maybe analysts are allowing them to build a war chest for an acquisition or other form of expansion to replace slowly dwindling assets? |
MXN silver has been flirting with its 50-day for several days now, falling below it but recovering three times. Both are around MXN632. It appears to be a topping out trend but stable for now. Spot might decide to drop through and retest the rising 200-day, currently at another new record of MXN533 - up 29.6% over the last 12 months and 70.3% over 5 years.. |
Terrible management low divi and always dosspaoints ... should be rocketing ! Why isn't it |
With all geopolitical issues in Europe, the Middle East and China/Taiwan, it is better to accumulate stocks such as FRES as they are the best defensive stocks on offer. FRES is the only decent one with location far from trouble while CEY for instance is exposed to the Middle East turbulence. |
MXN530.87 is a new record for silver's 200-day average by all of 0.07. However, it continues its steady rise, just like gold's MXN 200-day, which is now 10.3% above its 2020 peak. |
Aleman .. it’s a shame FRES is not just linked to the price of silver and gold . |
MXN gold still edging up, and only about 1% off its all-time closing high. Might be worth another look in the morning. (It hit a new intraday high in Sterling of £2168.) |
STILL going up - MXN642 and MXN55,387.
Shares not doing much, considering. |
Something happened? Gold just leapt to a new high of £2159.
Edit - gold up and £ down.
Only about 1% off a closing high in MXN and rising.
Silver about 8% off its closing high but also rising.
Edit 2 - It was poor flash Euro PMI which took currencies down. New gold high in Euro of 2608, too. |
Gold strong again at, MXN54,991, and looks to be dragging silver up a bit too, at MXN636.
MXN silver's 200-day average will hit a new record at the close, barring some extreme move in spot. |
Low share price ... bad management and should be rocketing like others imho |
STOP PRESS - PMs remain fairly steady for a couple of weeks.
So Silver's MXN 200-day average should hit a new all time high on Monday, and gold's MXN 200-day keeps hitting them. |
How so Maty ? |
Fresnilo always disappoints .. why ? |
