NickB... We agree on many points, but the main one we tend to disagree on is the investment side. I invested (£25k)in FBT many years ago, simply for a positive return, I admire Mr Streater enormously his vision and his commitment and his invention/product, I believe it to be an industry changer.

The question has always been 'Can FBT turn their tech into profit'? .. I'm not sure...
They may have to sell to a major for the tech to be an industry standard...

Good luck with your investment and I admire your tech knowledge and optimism...

Fair enough personally I want to see fundraising at this exciting stage but I guess we will lose some investors.

NickB... I will rephrase it ... Not an option for me.

Have just posted this to Cabi1..
With regards a fundraising, it was stated Dec 2016, at the last fundraising, that those funds would 'take the Company through to profitability' another and the Company, for me, would lose its integrity.

GL and IMHO

Why do you say fundraising is not an option?
Things have never looked better.

Cash burn has always been low if you put it into perspective of what it costs to build this technology £2m pa cash burn is peanuts for R&D
Avid spent $500m to get into the Cloud shareholders don’t seem to realise we have built our platform really cheaply and the market cap doesn’t reflect what it costs to develop our platform.

Cabi1.. The POC's that were spoken about prior to Xmas may have turned into the recent contract wins!...

With regards a fundraising, there could be one closer than we think, the cash burn (reported) was huge.

Of course, revenue may have exploded in the first third of 2018 and my pessimism/attention to facts is unwarranted.. A first quarter operational update would confirm either way!

Note; With regards a fundraising, it was stated Dec 2016, at the last fundraising, that those funds would 'take the Company through to profitability' another and the Company, for me, would lose its integrity.

GL and IMHO

I wonder if they are under-pricing Blackbird? If you are selling a Bentley it's not at £35K. The price can undermine your claims for it.

McS... Thanks

Really good observation - 'A lot of RNS reach but still not many independent reviews'

That's something that has been bothering me for a while.

Pretty much the same as you...

1) Engagement with shareholders - Much better but quantity not quality re contract wins.
Also news, simply not reaching a wide enough audience

(2) Advances/updates in tech - Very positive, well played Mr S

(3) Cash Burn and lack of large contract - Major concern

(4) Further Fundraising - Not an option after 18 years

(5) FBT Team - Much stronger than I year ago and seem motivated and focused

(6) Options - Large contracts or sell for 1.25p a share

We hold, we watch, we dream!!

GLM

I don’t think a placing is imminent. I’m sure there will be one at some point, but I think we will be in a much better position with a few wins and a higher share price. Remember we still have the most POC’s out there, and the Pilot with major North American Broadcaster.

Pc1,

I'm glad to see IM finally promoting the product, his tweets and announcements are a bit Trump like but so what.

Now they need a major to pay substantially for their product or buy them out. A lot of RNS reach but still not many independent reviews.

Good to see the share price improve but still output like the Japan RNS is very opaque. Did SS visit his brother and gift blackbird to dragon systems in order to write off his trip as a business expense or is it genuine progress?

All to play for, happier with progress but concerned about next raising.

What's your take on it?

Problem is that it is more than offset by Nanga's emissions.

Gervais Williams is already invested.

Miton Group plc 26,927,128 14.92%

This is central to his reason for favouring AIM-listed Forbidden Technology.

He commented: ‘This is a company which created technology involved in post-production for TV programmes and films. Until now, when companies wanted to edit items on location, they had send a whole crew to the location, and put them up in hotels. This technology allows the edits to be made using cloud technology, so could save the production companies a lot of money.’

I have emailed the company to suggest that they could attend the Mello 2018 conference in Derby on the 27th April. That would give them exposure to a range of private investors including some well known private shareholders-Lord Lee; Gervais Williams and Dave Stredder to name a few. Katie Potts of Herald usually attends as well. I have not had a response yet. In that way they could get their message across. If you look at th eattendees you would get a feel for the company they would be keeping-like ZOO-a ten bagger in 12 months!

Only in fbt land could yesterday's RNS be brushed off as probably a net nothing.

PS How many UK, EU and US Tier 1 Telecoms companies might have the same unfulfilled need?

I can't see IM pursuing a Japanese deal if he really thinks it's peanuts. Companies I dealt with were fair and paid promptly provided you delivered what was agreed and were reliable on delivery timetables. FBT will have to be careful about culture as many companies are strict on etiquette e.g. who sits next to whom at meetings and I have seen a deal go down because the UK Chairman sat next to the Japanese CEO and not the Japanese Chairman/President.
On reading the RNS Reach again it appears they are aiming Blackbird at their business customers. So I infer that in a saturated and highly competitive market they are looking to give their service an edge over competitors. Even Softbank who are 3rd in the market would be a fantastic catch with well over 30m customers and a reasonable %age of these ought to be business related. So I think those who have said this could be a PoC exercise are probably right... not a lot of money in the actual opportunity on the table but if it shows Blackbird does what they want it could be a good, long term earner. On the plus side SS went there, met them, knows what they want and thinks he can deliver it(otherwise why push out an RNS Reach)

So SS was in Japan rather than at NAB last week.

For a tiny one man band deal (Mcsean) 🤔

If it was up to me sure😀
I always add a zero to the share price I find it helps

I wonder if the Tier 1 Japanese Telco is Softbank?

They like to invest

They also bought ARM one of SS favourite companies.

We do have the best and arguably the only true native Cloud editor.

The biggest problem i see is that many shareholders don’t believe in their investment.

I could be wrong but I think Ian has genuinely bought in to our technology which is why he joined and purchased shares.

New management team are spot on imho.
