I did say I think we'll all regret not loading up at 40p! Luck I know, but I certainly regret it. I was in at 53p and very pleased, but really wish I'd have topped up and averaged down now.

buy a few quiz shares with your profit here, about to explode north, do not leave it to long, the train is leaving the oversold station, massive overreaction, valued at 20mill with nearly 10mill in the bank.

Happy to admit I was wrong here, however I had my 100% from 25p to 50p and that was a safe and happy exit for me. I believed the JD statement that they were not to make an offer, so as research goes it was sound, however the market is a lottery and you have to buy your ticket or keep your money. Happy for those that won the lottery today, but please, for once people, take some profits from the market!

It's amazing the ones who were ignorant of what was right in front of their face and missed an opportunity ... I bought 45k shares at 47p average on the day of the JD 75p purchase when other were saying "Back down to 30p" but funnily enough no where to be seen today

Spob - Rule 2.8 - rule on City takeovers & mergers - can be set aside specifically by agreement of the Board of Directors (i.e. Footasylum’s board) - which is clearly the case here and was specified by JD in their original statement IMHO DYOR

Snob actually raises a very good point. I sold at a tidy profit after the JD stake building rns however should they not have just put in an offer straight up? Looks manipulated to me but not surprised as most stocks are

there are rules governing market manipulation

this is an obvious case of manipulation

and if there is a loophole, they have exploited it here


i am not a poor loser, i have consistently outperformed the market for 20 years
