Booooooom ! The MUGS can't put the puzzle together lol - duo behind JD Sports are set to boost their fortunes further amid speculation that they could float their latest retail business in an IPO that could net them tens of millions of pounds.John Wardle and David Makin could announce a stock market flotation of Footasylum, their premium sportswear chain, this month in a deal that would value the business at about £150 million. An IPO of Footasylum would come 12 years after Mr Makin, the D in JD Sports, founded the business with one store in Cheshire before being joined in 2008 by Mr Wardle, with whom he founded JD Sports, now one of the country's largest sports retailers.

Think about it both parties win win on a takeover offer just hope it's not like the Flybe one though and they make a offer for 20p here ? LOL

Pentland Group holding is an INDIRECT holding of 21.34% of which JD’s direct holding is 18.74% - according to the RNS. I believe that Pentland Group own the majority of shares in JD Plc - DYOR. Need to wait and see if JD have further increased their holding from 18.74% to 21.34%.

JD sports have increased their holding by 3% to 21% and are using the vehicle name, perhaps even a new company Pentland.

David Makin was the D in JD and was the founder along with John Wardle. David set up FootAsylum along side his brother Steve who was also at JD. They both left a number of years ago and Steve is no longer part of the business

Nothing makes total sense here, but the share price hasn't moved since the first rns doubled the price, even though we know they are looking to grab another 10% at some point.
