04/10/2010 12:33 | Comments from the Prelims: ● US Patent granted to enable entry into the strategically important US market. Moving forward, the contract win with Mastek will help underpin the ambitious global growth plans we have for the Group over the next financial year. Mastek will resell focus:360° across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific regions, and has also become a systems integrator for direct engagements with clients outside of the UK, providing Focus with scaleable resource capabilities on a global basis. In November 2009 we were granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for electronic forms and data verification, covering the Group's innovative suite of highly flexible development tools, focus:technology. Through achieving this US patent, we have provided further evidence of the technological leadership of the Group as well as giving us greater credibility as we look to extend our existing successful products and services into the US market. ----- Looks like FSG have a lot to go for, small cap fundies could start buying in strongly now that they truly believe the growth story. | simon gordon
04/10/2010 12:12 | Sounds like a lot more in the pipeline imo. LONDON (Dow Jones)--Financial services software company Focus Solutions Group PLC (FSG.LN) Monday said it is on course to better market expectations for fiscal year 2011 revenue if it seals more high-value contracts in its second half. The firm, which Monday announced its biggest-ever contract win with a global bank worth about GBP10 million, said there are "significant" opportunities for deals for its Focus:360 tool in regions like South Africa, Hong Kong and the U.K. "We expect to sign more deals given our pipeline and how it's converted recently," Chief Executive Richard Stevenson told Dow Jones Newswires. "We should be closing additional deals through the second half of this year, as historically we always have done better in the second half," he said. The company said future deals are now expected to be of a similar value to the deal it announced earlier Monday, with the unnamed bank. "They may not be exactly the same amount but if we sign any additional deals then yes, we should better analyst expectations for full-year revenue as we already have very strong cover for this year's broker forecast," Stevenson said. According to FactSet, Focus Solutions is expected to post fiscal year 2011 revenue of GBP12.8 million | cockneyrebel
04/10/2010 10:33 | Bought back in today - that's a transformational contract win imo. CR | cockneyrebel
04/10/2010 10:21 | Has anyone worked out a new forward 2012 EPS yet, I'm thinking they could do 18p myself. | envirovision
04/10/2010 10:16 | Hi Just brought in today after this great contract win, the story had been improving recently with the three contract wins announced in September. I had FSG on my watchlist since July because I highlighted them as being under valued and a Zulu stock. Todays news means FSG remains under valued even after todays price rise. imo. Regards............ | interceptor2
04/10/2010 09:54 | Well if theres a good chance of a few more big banks around the world similar then we could be looking at a, wait for it: "ZULU STOCK" here. | envirovision
04/10/2010 09:50 | I guess the question here is whether this is a bit of a one-off or if there is a possibility of multiple deals of this size. The value of the license fee suggests there's a decent chance that this is the first of many ie they have they most valuable thing in software - a niche that they can dominate. If it's the latter it's not hard to see this being a £100m market cap company in very short order... | britishb
04/10/2010 09:31 | Current forecasts before todays news. So even ignoring today a p/e of say 12 on 2012 results would be a share price of £1.43. 04/10/2010 09:00 | I think 12x equates to c.84p. | simon gordon
04/10/2010 08:53 | Many worried that FSG had high dependence on HSBC as nearly 50% of turnover was with them but this is another major bank and £10m is more than last years turnover. I think that forecasts will need to be rewritten after that huge deal and a certain amount of key customer risk going forward has been eliminated so a rating to at least 12 times eps should be warranted IMO instead of the paltry 8 that it had. The company has a good net cash position too. | davidosh
04/10/2010 08:46 | Monster contract. In for a penny, in for a pound. | simon gordon
04/10/2010 08:43 | Transformational contract!! Think fcst of 12p before this one. Cant buy any size at the mo. | aishah
04/10/2010 08:26 | Thats a big one, still way way undervalue though on forward earnings, still plenty left here, 100% upside is possible. Market needs to wake up to this one imo. | envirovision
23/9/2010 07:43 | This should move price today: Focus Solutions Group plc, (AIM: FSG), a leading provider of multi-channel distribution software to the global financial services industry, announces that on 21 September 2010 it was informed that J O Hambro Capital Management ("J O Hambro") had, on 17 September 2010, acquired 42,000 Ordinary Shares in Focus, bringing their total number of shares to 1,485,000 and their total voting rights to 5.01 | dealit
