The company approved a share buyback at the AGM. Is this a contingency or a plan? Surely now is the time to start buying as we are plateaued at this low share price

Have just checked landings Sweyn and notice other airlines have been getting to the Islands and while might have delayed flights cannot see other cancellations.

However, that said we may have seen a double bottom in view of the latest RNS.

Good Luck if your long but Flybe have serious problems to sort out and resolve.

Clocktower.A very quick glance at the weather reports might tell you why there are cancellations....You don't lose custom from the Channel Islands because of the weather cancelling flights. It's part of island life.

KMann, It is regrettable that these stories are becoming a constant if you are holding and long rather than short but I understand how hard it is to see the wood from trees as the share price sinks partly due to the fact that Flybe continue to fail their customers, and not only in the Channel Islands while they promise to sort the problems out on almost a daily basis, still fail to do so. Rather than thinking about buying stock back, they should address these serious issues that could cause the decimation of the company and any remaining value. Looking at the decline, it is like watching a sinkhole in slow motion. Are you going to just watch it or move your possessions before they go down that plughole?

It goes on and on - do the have a lack of bookings, so are cancelling flights - or problems with crews - Faults with Aircraft?

Wantolose.mearely saying what I and a fair few others were thinking.were all entitled to our opinions. Just think penny pinching has gone to far.imbittered is a rather Etonian word old boy.yaa yah! How did you know virgin flight would be longer. Oh hang on international flights generally are FYI. Do u always have to moan back at everyone on this board as I sip here drinking my free virgin lager on my free virgin Internet! Tally ho old boy...lol

Were you forced to take that flight then jools ? Surely you made the decision over the costs, seems strange to become embittered over the price of a coffee.
Think you will find Virgin flights have a considerably longer flight time.

clock tower.. your agenda on here is to dig up as much dirt and negativity on Flybe to suit your short..
Well just to put a balance on things here below are the same companies reviewing Easyjet and Ryan Air, which make similar reading.

As I am sure you are aware most customers who bother to post their experiences on review sites are usually the dissatisfied few.

I am a bundle of fun.if Virgin can give free coffee and even free wine and beer. Then don't think giving a free coffee is too much of a strain on flyb finances. Do you!or are you too afraid to complain.i expect you are!

Jerseyman1. Regardless of the stock pictures the Jersey papers use,do you dispute the facts, and I am sure even your 17 year old daughter could check out if that story had fact behind it. Maybe you should not dismiss the other posts on the other links I have provided when you do your research and consider the poor public perception of the company if this is being pumped out on a regular basis - would you book a seat with them if you had an international flight to connect with, without taking insurance from the Channel Islands (which some insurance companies do not include, I notice from my research)?

Do you dispute the fact that they are taking bookings for Blue Island on the company website, and Blue Island are not performing very well, do you dispute that Flybe have a poor record (of late) from all the Channel Islands?

Have you looked at some of the feedback from Newquay - similar complaints.

Is there anything such as a low cost operator when they charge for everything they can scratch another penny from.

Have they got the right Aircraft for the job or are they just trying to make the best of the situation they find themselves in?

Next update on passenger numbers and load factor should make interesting reading , bearing in mind the downturn that the market suggests.

Clock tower......if you are trying to base any kind of investment decision, be it short or long or whatever, on what the Jersey Evening Post writes then you will need all the luck you can get. The story is a non event, the picture shows the wrong aircraft, aQ400 when Blue Island, for it was one of their flights under franchise, operate ATR's and in the wrong livery. The JEP has such high standards, not, that my daughter, (17), was offered a full time job as a journo after a one week intern as she can string a few words together and has some gumption!Suggest you find something vaguely credible to use if you want to continue to talk this share price down....
