Plenty of buying interest in the shares too today. Someone buying for a good reason imo.

Old news clocktower, so 2 people got kicked off due to overbooking, for sure they would have been compensated. Positive is the plane was full !

At least they were filling planes and getting poor customer feedback in the process. So you may look on it as a positive that they can fill seats but then if they have cancelled flights to achieve that, I guess it does not go down well and is a hard pill to swallow by the poor sods that got left behind, as reported:

Yes kMann - "When" being the important word, only WHEN the board believes: Things may have changed a lot in the past month.

"The purpose of the Reduction of Capital is to enable the Company to pay a dividend when the Board believes that the time is right, and provide reserves to support the allocation of Ordinary Shares under the Company's share schemes."

Clocky, they have earmarked £22.5m million capital reduction, some of which for buybacks and or dividends
.

kMann - all item 15. all it does is to give authority to purchase its own shares, it does not mean it will, in fact if they are of the view they have further to fall I expect they will wait until such time as they have. If you wait for a RNS stating they have purchased their own shares you might then consider they view them to be undervalued but at this time they clearly either do not wish to use funds in this risky manner or might be waiting as I suggest for the share price to slide further before giving the market a shot in the arm by doing so.

Re: 12 The might allot share to raise funds or to give them to staff even though they clearly are not performing or the share price would reflect that.

On the other hand if they purchased shares in the market to give to staff on the basis of improving performance then that would be a different story.

Ladies, Gentlemen, draw your attention to item 15 of the AGM

15. To authorise the Company to make market purchases of its own shares.

That means FLYB are going to start buying shares at a knock down price, then I draw your attention to item 12 of the AGM

12. To confer on the Directors a general authority to allot shares.

So staff are going to be awarded for performance etc. A good and fair way incentivise imo

wanttowin - "at some stage" I guess your right but not before we see further weakness due to the problems they will need to deal with likes the Channel Island routes - you must remember the Islands were the core of the company years ago but they have failed to use those foundations well, in fact they seem to have destroyed them, and the goodwill that went with them.

Now let us turn to the website - do you think the public trust what they read on the company website? " save up to 20% on mid-week flight" - do you think that most travellers will be able to get a UP TO genuine 20% reduction on mid-week flights in August?

So what is the price they are reducing by Up To 20% - any price they choose - it is about time airlines started being more transparent with prices, rather than saying things like - "so many seats left at x price"

The company is also a higher risk than most - think what would happen to the share price if just one aircraft suffered an accident or attack, let alone all those problems they are likely to endure because of all the turmoil in France and euro in general.

Flybe have been using the larger jets into Newquay for sometime now having found the props not coping with demand, it is a very profitable route. Certainly more profitable than the one you keep harping on about clock tower, but I guess the negativity suits your short.
The Guernsey powers to be might need to tread carefully, I suspect if Flybe wanted they could dump the Blue Islands franchise completely.
Sentiment certainly against Flybe at the moment, and it has been a disappointing hold for investors. But Saad has turned the company around, hopefully at some stage the share price will follow.
Great little company imo.

£70 +++ Luggage - select your seat +++ lol netcurtains.

Newquay!! They have enough problems and a few small routes will not resolve them.

I expect further trade warnings in the industry not just Flybe but the will be hit more than most I guess as sentiment is against them.

clocktower: Its possible that this year Gatwick to Newquay could be really busy...
That would be FLYBE..... I would think they should put on extra flights.
Cornwall is an endless traffic jam - Fly direct for £70 return - save the hassle save FlyBE too...

"If" is always the concern netcurtains - If Brexit - If an accident occurred - If we all had hindsight it would be so easy but the facts are that the public fear factor is hitting forward bookings in numerous areas - Flybe will be one of the companies to suffer imo. They are hardly the first choice airline of most travellers are they?

Headed down towards previous lows and even lower I expect but each to their own but tell me how much upside risk for those that remain short is there? So risk to reward looking good still shorting this imo. DYOR

LOL - kMann.

If you cannot sort out small problem like highlighted by the Channel Island on routes like that what hope is there for the big picture going forward, so they 20p target is not an unreasonable target.

I wonder how low the share price has to go before Flybe becomes a takeover target? Not beyond the realms of feasibility, is it?

The fundamental problem is that revenue per seat mile is dropping considerably.
Not sure they will stay in the black at the next results.
While I feel that the 20p target set by one of the banks is a bit harsh I also struggle to see how the share price can rise until we see the revenue per seat mile start to improve.
