SX need authorisation to roll out the entire 30k satellites, That's my understanding though I'm an amateur so I could be wrong but 30k satellites is a massive increase from current numbers... |

'SpaceX has plans for 30,000 Gen2 satellites, on top of the 4,400 Gen1 satellites already authorized by the FCC. '
'SpaceX plans on using E-band spectrum to bolster communications between Starlink satellites and the company's ground stations on Earth.' |
For the uninitiated, are their products in the satellites or the receivers or both? Have not been able to pin it down from their website. |

Hi Mirabeau,I just posted something similar on LSE chat... agreed this is a v positive sign. Gives me a lot of confidence that not only was Robbie already onboard, but that he is willing to increase his holdings at these levels. Looking forward to July 30th! |
It is 'One Bag In A Year'..thanks

empoggio, from yesterday -
'Winner of share of the day at the seminar was Filtronic which got the most votes.
I have topped up with a few more adding to the ones I bought a lot lower.
It is high risk as its rating is now very high, it is a question of its SpaceX relationship pays off.
But with contracts with BAE and Qinetic among others you could argue the current high rating is justified.
Results are on July 30th, be interesting to see market reaction.
Is it underrated or overrated? Place your bets, please.'

I am not subscribed to Naked Trader, and so I do not know if it has mentioned this, but surely this activity is recognition of the potential of Hercules II, which is a plus to future trading aside from those contracts already announced, which have been the boost to share price in recent weeks. |
Bit of a boost from Naked Trader's referencing of FTC yesterday |
Recurring revenue not a big part of the balance sheet right now. They have been doing alot of r and d funded by the customer and successful in receiving grants for upgrades to production capability. The sort of things they manufacture have become more fit and forget, the focus being that its built to be reliable rather than trying to fix it. As sales increase there will prob be a bit more revenue from support type activity. They are also well on the way to being uk Mod "trusted supplier" , if you remember the fuss over Chinese tech Huwai et al. Alot of effort has gone into knowing where components come from etc. filtronic well placed for this. |
empoggio,
I'd suggest that you read the information directly from the Filtronic website. This will give you the knowledge you need straight from the horses mouth! I'd also recommend that you read through the RNS announcements over the last three-four years.
You will no doubt find that Filtronic is a company that has gone through significant and extremely positive change over the last few years.
Cheers |
Does Filtronic have any recurring revenue, such as royalties or maintenance etc., or is their revenue solely based on outright product (current or update) sales? |
