What are all these buys showing from the 1st?

I haven’t seen any announcements or any news to have spurred on such volumes.....

My bet would be that a trading update will come in the not too distant with outstanding figures or an aquisition is imminent

i.e. forecast eps growth of 135.26%

Edit:

eps (achieved) 2017 3.27p

forecast 2018: 7.70p
forecast 2019: 9.40p

Similarly unclear to me however the mention of double digit growth for its core businesses they say are expected to continue through this year however will provide better margin..... also I expect a number of aquisitions may blow any forecasts out of the water anyway

does anyone have an earnings forecast for the current year?
The numbers just reported were a little unclear to me with the various adjustments

Dollar perkiness may be helping. If USD is near the start of a bull run then that can only help.

I don't have a price target. If it grows revenue and franchisees then I am happy. The business is more important than the share price, especially if the markets get squiffy. I think this could actually do better in both a tight labour market at the end of the business cycle and in any subsequent recession.

nurdin, you jinxed it!

Perhaps a delayed sell.
It is really illiquid at times so just have to live with the volatility.

Naughty boy ON John you haven't put it on here either

Your post

If you are wondering when the next market "wobble" will happen, it could be Monday the 5th of March, the day after the Italian General Election, when right wing and eurosceptic (5 Star) parties get the majority of votes. The markets don't like uncertainty and anything that threatens the EU applecart will not be appreciated. If the markets take fright the share price could drop along with the wider market, even though we know it has no relevance. Could fall imho

I think there is some seasonality as one large market is theme parks, which in the northern hemisphere do most of their business in the summer.

I was slightly disappointed in revenue growth because 2nd half vs. 1st half there wasn't any !
1st half revenues were £6.6m...2nd half revenues were £6.6m,[although in $ terms they would be up maybe 5-6% ?]
Does anyone know if there is a natural seasonal bias towards the 1st half ?
I appreciate like for like 2nd half was up 20% and that's very respectable of course but equally quite a slowdown from 1st half growth of 38%.
P.S. I'm not sure market expectations were really as low as £12.25m.That would imply 2nd half revenue forecasts were only £5.6m after 1st half of £6.6m. I suspect that £12.25m number was a somewhat out of date one.
I continue to hold.

nurdin - at this stage revenue growth is the key metric. I'm not fussed by profit, I want the company to be investing in growing and supporting franchise holders. I think the US tax reforms will help expand the size of each franchise as it makes that much more sense to be a business owner than to be a one man band. I added yesterday and today, with market ructions having helped with the price I had to pay. It has been creeping up this trading day so far.

This passes a lot of risk tests too in terms of resilience to recession and currency movements. The normalisation of Cable may have been a headwind in the second half, but who knows where it goes in the medium term? Similarly the European operations should provide some balance.
