I am cross with myself - I bought in at £1 originally and then topped up at 80p and held 30k. After a few months of simmering around the £1 mark I decided to sell 20k to fund my Woodford new fund purchase when it was released. While that is up 7p on my initial purchase price at present I would have been better of sticking with China, No immediate plans to get out - enjoying the ride at present. Am a fan of Woodford - he did really well for me on Edinburgh Trust and am sure he will have success with new one. |

Yes, looks like they have made circa 10p on the Alibaba float... Not bad.
I do wonder whether Alibaba might mark the top of the IPO market though.
I've started accumulating a bit more cash in my portfolio and waiting for better buying opportunities. |

Watched it try to pip up today, charts say not just yet, nearly swallowed humble pie until I watched it slip back down as predicted a few days ago. |
Sold out for now, having bought in during the second placing. Been a frustrating trust to own but eventually made a little return at least.had a rather archaic direct holding requiring a letter to be sent in to dispose, very annoying in this day and age. Will buy some back in my ISA nominee account at some point where I can have full control. |

The Scots are saying yes, the pound is tanking, awful day on the UK markets, not so over in China, I'm hoping this is where the smart money will contine to be invested, no hard landing, no volitility, trade surplus, lovely. |
