09/10/2018 10:48 | No worries. I had an offer from someone to do some writing somewhere, so maybe i'll take it up on FFI as a trial :0) | pireric
09/10/2018 10:16 | Some excellent posts Pireric,thanks | the big fella
09/10/2018 10:02 | you have a point - this could have slightly influenced the recent downtrend but not enough to be really worth focussing on - que sera, sera! | eentweedrie
09/10/2018 09:42 | To be fair, Film Finances is hardly a household brand, even in the US. FFI was pretty much at the heart of the British film industry for much of their early years. Same argument could be levelled at Entertainment One, Canadian based | pireric
09/10/2018 09:33 | Thanks for your response. I'm not so sure why any legacy scenario should take preference over the reality of their location and principal market in the US. | masurenguy
09/10/2018 08:23 | UK heritage business. Founded in London in 1950. Simply have to follow the industry into the US if you want to be a serious player. Even at the IPO valuation, not a massive company and so AIM looks suitable If the concern is that this is an overseas biz listed on the UK markets I wouldn't worry. Ive done enough research to know this is a genuine business. And I was short Camkids and Naibu on the opposite belief! Hope that helps | pireric
09/10/2018 08:15 | Over successive decades FFI has grown globally to become a trusted, iconic brand at the centre of the film industry. Headquartered in Los Angeles, USA, it has 11 offices globally, including in London, Stockholm, Toronto, New York, Cape Town, Cologne and Shanghai. Can anyone explain why this company is listed on AIM in the UK rather than NASDAQ in the USA, if they are such an "iconic brand at the centre of the film industry headquartered in Los Angeles" ? | masurenguy
08/10/2018 17:42 | Thought this might be a handy matrix to have to hand. P/E ratios per share price - I admit, some bias by putting the director trades on here :0) | pireric
08/10/2018 11:05 | Yes, I've added a spreadbet to go with my ISA holding. | greenroom78
08/10/2018 10:29 | I'm adding more. Sold my small PEN stake to fund. Basically back to where it was pre-Friday which is pretty nifty. Am basically averaging up the whole way though | pireric
08/10/2018 10:22 | MMs selling Friday at 39p and buying back today at 34p. | greenroom78
08/10/2018 10:12 | that is exactly why i took profit... | eentweedrie
08/10/2018 09:47 | Don't get spiked | ronwilkes123
08/10/2018 09:45 | was a quick 20% actually. the price i sold at was higher than the offer is now...as i said, still heavily invested here, but the dips are great opps to get more. | eentweedrie
08/10/2018 09:28 | Who cares about pullbacks? A lot of people got in at 30-32p thanks to the overhang. Many will be pretty happy with a double digit return in a few weeks. I'm looking at this like more of a traditional investor perspective. This is a company, still trading on about 5x earnings. The story has started to work with the removal of most of the selling pressure. So I'll add steadily on the way up, likely sell some down to normalise my holding when I think we are closer to fair value and then free run the rest. At least in theory...! | pireric
08/10/2018 09:25 | What do you can keep selling down stocks to get your 10% each time. I think most are here for more than 10%Let the seller exhaust himself - patience | ronwilkes123
08/10/2018 09:19 | this is why it's good to diversify... | eentweedrie
08/10/2018 09:07 | Not sure but I've added small :0) | pireric
08/10/2018 09:01 | Who sells for 33.75p when 36p bid !!! | dave4545
08/10/2018 07:47 | momentum...? | tsmith2
07/10/2018 18:33 | Have been watching for a while and started buying on Friday, will add more on any dips. Was not able to buy any when the offer dropped to 35p just after 10am. Both chart and fundamentals look great at this level. As others have mentioned the momentum should really pick up above 40p. | parob
07/10/2018 18:27 | You're doing yourself a disservice selling now. Finding a peach and then selling before it has even become mildly ripe. 10x earnings here is nearly 70p and the only real reason its lower is because of a depressed bulk seller into a stock with no liquidity. Come back in a couple of months and don't think it'll be too far off there. Won't go up in a straight line but as more and more people look at this, it will trend up there | dan_the_epic
07/10/2018 18:25 | haha only sold abt 9k worth. still have over 70k shares in ffi. | eentweedrie
06/10/2018 12:40 | Yeah it rose all day eent but only a couple of pence. Here at FFI it was a cracking day rising from 31p bid to close at 36p bid and even at this level the buys never stopped coming in. If we do not get a holding update next week then clearly somebody is holding back the correct info. | dave4545
05/10/2018 15:54 | well boys have a look at RWI and tell me i was wrong...;p | eentweedrie |
