The 200p level may be more in range now. Seems to have been consolidating around these levels for a while & perhaps there is some renewed strength at last. Will be interesting to see if we can make new recent highs here over the next few weeks.

Rio Tinto results today, so perhaps if things read well, as per some other commodity companies recently, we might get a tick-up here today? Will be interesting to watch if there is ANY reaction at all. Perhaps those conveyor belts will start moving again ;-)

Will this reach 200p before hitting major resistance? Not a chartist but looks that way.

Steadily going back up here. Bit by bit as commodities come back into favour.

Well it is currently one company that is doing quite well versus the market. FENR has come down a lot over the months before but is now steadily regaining ground. Looks like it has support now. With commodities come back into favour FENR will no doubt improve bit by bit!

Helluva long way to go so far as my holding is concerned. Ever hopeful but not too confident for the foreseeable future.

50% up from the bottom now and still moving up against the FTSE trend. I'm still sitting on a loss but not too far to go now.

Interesting to see FENR positive when most (all?) other mining related companies were heavily down on Monday.

Quite right. Chris Surch will be a NED and chair of audit committee. I'm impressed that Fenner is his choice for this position.

If he's so good why was the company expanding its mining belts capacity at the top of the cycle in places like Holland and Australia. Now looks very poor decision making. RU sure this guy is the FD-thought he was non exec?

I'm pleased that Mark Abrahams is the executive boss of this company instead of only having indirect control as in his previous Chairman role. He's a very capable businessman capable of strong leadership and shrewd decision-making.

I've also every confidence in new FD Chris Surch, who was very successful in the Finance team at Smiths Group.

I'm happy to sit and wait.

Re msg 1042-43-44: point made

The Mgt acknowledged that mining will never get back to even near peak. FENR is repositionning ECS as an industrial belt manufacturer, aiming at grinding higher litle by litle over time.

Slide 32 - what a level of detail !
Excluding maintenance & repair, new sales = derivative of coal produced ex productivity gain. We always knew that though.

Interesting conference call so far - very qualitatively detailled on the "strategic" outlook.

Read Panmure Gordon & Co's note on FENNER, out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research-tree.com/company/GB0003345054
"Fenner is caught in a vicious circle of continuous restructuring as revenues continue to fall faster than costs. This is not a surprise. In a structural downturn, the focus on maintaining dividend to the detriment of everything else leaves a company with a depleted capital base. More restructuring will be required in coming years as we see the iron ore industry heading in the same direction as coal. The non commodity businesses, which should have been the focus of shareholder funds, will soon join the firefighting as the US industrial recession deepens. Ultimately, a rescue rights issue will be required once the company runs out of water...."

Looks like another leg up here with the recovery of commodity companies in general. Hope the half year announcement on 27th April brings further upside and doesn't create the opposite reaction. Would just need some positive outlook comments and things could really be good here.

Held-up quite well last session considering the sell-off in the wider commodities sector yesterday. Perhaps a sign that this level may hold rather than just be a blip?

You don;t write goodwill down if you think that you're just facing a dip over a couple of years or don't think that you have overpaid. But yes, expectations can get back to original level in 10 years's time.
