What actually were the chances of a radiologist turning magically into an entrepreneur ?

Or is it just that the NHS is doing what its always done and rather than adopting new tech “at pace and scale”, its adopting it at snails pace and miniature scale.

In a business, if the BOD said that everyone will be required to adopt a piece of tech, then that’s what happens. In the NHS managers have no power and there is endless clinical debate about non-clinical matters, let alone anything that is clinical like Bleepa (although marginally) and more related to organisational efficiency.

Meanwhile it would be interesting to find out how exactly doctors having phone calls with patients can possibly be more efficient than face to face and how that is being measured (other than by an expensive but mickey mouse survey conducted by overpaid consultancy firms.

For what it's worth I voted against remuneration and reappointment. Pity TO isn't up for reappointment.
I don't have too many shares to make a difference but every little helps.

But TO only got just over £7000 rise to £149,345 and an increase in his bonus of £20,000 to £60,000!

AP, CFO wasn't too far behind with £139,454 salary and £30,000 bonus.

Yet neither of them can afford to buy any shares, even at this level. Perhaps they're waiting for the four year low of 60p!

The remuneration vote was very close last year. Let’s hope the major shareholders take a stand this year and put an end to the disgraceful salary costs and excess of employees with very little to do!

So after three and a half years from rolling out Bleepa in Oldham the only addition in the Northern Care Alliance is Fairfield. Well I suppose two out of four is a result.

Meanwhile, the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, of which the Royal Oldham Hospital is one of its sites, has seen a dramatic reduction in clinical response times since it digitised paper-based referral systems across a range of key specialties, according to an independent review.

The study, which examined NCA NHS Foundation Trust’s use of clinical communications platform Bleepa to manage inpatient referrals, identified a reduction of almost 75% in average referral times across three clinical specialties when compared to previous paper based referral systems.

Bleepa referral data from July 2021 to April 2023 covering 10,000 patient referrals found that the average time from submission of a referral to first review across the trust’s respiratory, cardiology and gastroenterology specialisms at specific hospital sites was 0.55 days.

This was a reduction of 1.55 days compared to the 2.1 day average time lag recorded before the platform’s deployment across parts of the Greater Manchester trust.

The real-world evaluation, commissioned by Bleepa creators Feedback Medical and carried out by specialist consultancy Unity Insights, used quantitative data from two Northern Care Alliance trust sites - the Royal Oldham Hospital and Fairfield General Hospital in Bury – to examine the impact that Bleepa could have at a hospital, trust and Integrated Care System level.

Describing the impact that using Bleepa has had on clinical performance, Georges Ng Man Kwong, Chief Clinical Information Officer (Bury, Rochdale and Oldham) at Northern Care Alliance, said: “Access to the images with the referral has been really key.

"We worked with the Bleepa team to make sure we had a minimum data set for referral data.

"This was particularly important during the Covid pandemic.

“We’ve also found it good in terms of asynchronous working – we don’t necessarily have to traipse around the hospital with a list of patients to see referrals, we can manage them remotely.

"We’ve also then been able to message the team with clear instructions as to what’s been going on.

"The secure messaging has allowed us to progress patient care in a faster way.”

Oakley, the bloke who really knows what is going, still holds not one share. He clearly isn't that daft, so why he thinks others should be is a mystery. That he's got away with it for so long, far longer than should have been logically possible, is just incredible. In my view, this is now as bad a case of an AIM 'investment' as could be dreamed up.

These “conversations” could possibly only exist in TO’s head.
Don’t forget there’s also the USA, when TO visited a conference in the big apple he said he was there talking to “future partners and customers”.
Surely it’s just a matter of time untill this explodes Yump.
The staff for a multi-million turnover operation are already in place!
