Think that this was one of the IC's 5 tips for 2007.
Can anyone confirm that ?

I guess someone got wind of the trading update, hence the sudden surge yesterday. Nice to hear the business is on track and still delivering good growth. An office in London might help raise the group's profile in the city.

FDM Group Plc ('FDM' or the 'Company')

BOARD CHANGES AND TRADING UPDATE

14 December 2006

The Board of FDM announces that April Denney, finance director, has resigned as
an employee and stepped down from the Board of FDM with immediate effect. April
was a part of the management team which successfully floated FDM on AIM in April
2005. The Board would like to thank April for all her hard work over the last 13
years and wishes her well in her future career.

The Board has commenced the search for a new finance director and will be
appointing an interim finance manager to run the Company's finance function
until such an appointment is made. The Board will make further announcements in
due course.

The Board is pleased to report that trading during the year to 31 December 2006
has been satisfactory and that the results for the year will be in line with
expectations. The Company's gross margins have remained above industry average.
New clients have been added during the year and the numbers of contractors on
billing and FDM employed consultants (known as 'Mounties') has increased
significantly since the start of the year.

Demand for the Company's services and areas of expertise remain strong, both in
the UK and in FDM's growing overseas operations. The Board will continue to
focus on growing the Company's operations and maintaining its margins and they
are optimistic about FDM's prospects for 2007.

The Company is making progress with the setting up of a London office from which
it will be able to attract further Mountie recruits for its clients in the City
of London. Suitable premises have been identified by the Board and further
announcements will be made in due course.

Nic e to see the liquidity increased by a director releasing 300k of shares to institutions. Done at a value of £1 so that firmly puts the support level there. I have revised my thoughts and believe these are now worth around 150 by the end of next year = 50% return in 13 months, I'll live with that and of course it may well come quicker!

Thanks Simon - great to see these flying at last. Let's see if we keep the momentum going next week. For a company growing so quickly, and with a projected EPS for 2006 close to 9p, the 140 target price seems reasonable.

Rizzle, Yes Daniel Stewart has iniciated coverage with a great report and very positive outlook, unfortunately its 23 pages thick and impossible to post ive tried before and it swamps the post.

Their target price is a comfortable 140p.

Yes, there's been a lot of resistance getting out of the 85-90 range, but this might move quickly now to former highs. Even at the old high, the rating is not that demanding.

Yes, not many trades today, but all buys. Can only buy 1500 shares on line, so it shouldn't take too many more buys to push this up further.

Thanks Dimotane. Good to see some positive press. On a forward P/E of around 10 for this year falling to 8 for next year, and with cash in the bank, hopefully the shares will get a better rating in due course.

How is FDM addressing the increased demand for Java and .Net staff?

FDM's differentiator comes from our FDM academy where we take people with some IT experience and put them through an in-depth course, with emphasis on training them in high-demand technologies like Java and .Net. Applicants have to go through a rigorous recruitment process to get on the course and we end up with highly trained individuals that we can put into the marketplace at a price typical IT services players struggle to match.
